Welcome Back...... Read your blog again today, and it brought tears to my eyes. All I can say is, I am proud to be your Mom and it is wonderful to have both of you here with us, love you always.
most likely what you did NOT see was there probably was a calf somewhere near by and the parent was protecting it, thinking that you were too near it...
sounds like your mother to me! "Why do I feel the desire to drop everything and leave? What is it that propels me out into the unknown? A desire for change, knowledge, adventure?"
From the Bapsey I remember, she loved adventures and much as you seem to do...very quick to climb a tree, hop over a creek, or scamper up the side of a moutain, tho your father always had that worried look on his face as she did these things lol lol
real life when people have everything they don't appriciate unless they understand suffering of others. to understand other's suffering you must have a heart. jenny, this is the great wealth of jenny. i am proud of you.

re: Farewell India Hi Jen - Been following your blog updates and am fascinated by your journey. I'm back in SF myself and would love to hear all about your travels! Safe journey home and keep in touch
more desert Hi Nila, I would have loved to spend more time in the desert. We got caught in a sand storm so we couldn't spend much time outside of the tent. The gorges may also be fun if you can rent a boat or do some hiking. Those options weren't available to us ... didn't think to ask because we only had 3 days to cover everything. But if I had to do it again, I would ask if there are any options like that. And definitely spend a night under the stars in the desert ... it is absolutely stunning! Enjoy your trip! Jen
More desert or the Gorges? Hi Jennifer, we are going to Morocco in June and doing a similar trip. Would you recommend Toudgha/Dades Gorges or would you spend extra time in the desert and go through them more quickly? Thanks Nila
kerala I am addicted to travelling too. This year its Brazil, Uraguay and Argentina but next year we are going to Kerala. We have friends from Kerala and I am fascinated by the research I've done so far.
I am freaked out by insects, rodents and others that invade homes but somehow don't mind them so much when they are outside the home. I am in the middle of a mouse infestation and I am just dying for the winter to set in so they will go away!
Thanks for posting.. interesting stuff and nice photos!
Manik and I had the same experience when we were walking the streets of Venice and I still remember that sign S.Marco (-- and S. Marco --)....unbelievable!!
Your awesome Alaska trip with Farhad Hi Jenny,
Absolutely gorgeous pics. This seems like a much better way to take a trip to Alaska. We have now gone there on a cruise twice and never seen a live reindeer. Thank you for sharing.
Good pictures... I am glad for your birthday both of you did what you like the best. Happy Birthday- may nothing but happiness come through your door...
Beautiful Picts! I'v been to Kovalam Beach- one of sooo many places you've been to. Indeed it is a serene place to relax..Love your pictures as always. Photo 6 is my favorite. Happy Birthday! Again...Love..Pummy
I've been addicted to traveling for as long as I can remember. 2007 was the year of travel for me! In June, I embarked on an 8-month journey through Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Morocco, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
After living in India for 2 years, I'm now back in San Francisco. Unfortunately, the more practical side of life has taken over, and I'm not able to travel as much as I'd like. I hope my blog piques your interest and enriches your life, as it has mine.... full info
