01 - 10 - 08 Landed, collected my luggage and left the airport with Will after having my passport and visa looked at like I was a terrorist. I must have just got the new guy; Will's passport and visa got looked at for 2 seconds whilst mine, well lets say took a lot longer! We ventured inside the departures hall to purchase a flight to Beijing, after trying various airlines desk we went to the China Eastern desk; we told the girl that we needed a single ticket each to Beijing on Thursday, which was in 2 days times. 29 - 04 - 08 The flight over was pleasant enough, it could have been so different! My old man was giving me a lift this morning but the car was clamped when we woke up! Cost £600 Got to Rome and paid the 11 Euros to get me to Termini then had to jump onto a bus to get to my hostel. A nice easy process. Happy days! 1735 Well that fore mentioned bus journey seemed to take forever to get to the hostel and spent it all worrying bout a ticket inspector getting on as I had no idea where I had to buy a ticket from. 16 - 01 - 08 The flight over was excellent. Arrived at the gate where they told me that my seat had been changed; I got put in 14G, a club class seat. I was quite happy with this since I was knackered and I got onboard had an orange juice and read a paper. The CSD came down and asked me to follow him; I knew exactly what was coming next - an upgrade into first class! I made myself comfortable; there was a slight slot delay so I had plenty of champagne. I arrived in Paris late in the day and jumped into onto the metro down to the Eiffel Tower where the hostel I was staying in. I checked in, planned what I was going to do tomorrow. 27th Feb I arrived early at Notre Dame and had to join the queue that had all ready started to form. When we got inside we climbed up the narrow stairwells up to the top of the cathedral. Eventually, breathless we reached the top with views of across Paris. I found on top my long lost cousins (one of the gargoyles) and had a picture with him before returning down to the ground.
