TASSO - ¡Hola Esapñia! 2019
a trip by Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra
From: July 8th 2019
Until: July 19th 2019
Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra (TASSO) is touring Spain where we will be performing in:
BARCELONA: The capital of Cataluña and the second-largest city in Spain. After hosting the Olympic Games in 1992, it has finally taken its place on the list of the world’s greatest cities. Home of the famous architect Gaudi, it is a most attractive, stimulating city, especially from an architectural point of view.
BUñOL: A small town in the provenience of Valencia most famous for its celebration of La Tomatina every year. The municipality of Buñol lies 40 km / 25 miles west of the city of Valencia and offers many sites to visit including the Castillo de Buñol (Buñol Castle) which showcases the history of the town and includes a museum.
ALICANTE: Known as Lucentum or the “City of Light”, Alicante was founded in the 3rd Century BC as a fortified settlement by the Carthaginian general Hamilcar Barca (father of the famous Hannibal) and has been home to Greeks, Romans, Moors, and of course Spaniards. Famous for its abundant sunshine and beautiful beaches, Alicante is quintessentially “Mediterranean”.
VALENCIA: Spain’s third-largest city and one of its most important port cities along the Mediterranean Sea. Valencia has hosted the America’s Cup sailing race twice and is a fascinating mix of old Spanish traditions and modern architecture.
We are very excited and feel privileged to be representing Canada once again on the world stage.
