Wildwood. KOA We stayed there several years ago, loved the cows waking you in the am. Went to the Villages for the Town center events, live music and dancing on certain days.
Are we there yet???? You know Lulu and I get car sick , so can you step it up a notch???? Mean while back at the ranch it is a cold and windy day without sunshine, it is called winter. And so it goes!!!! See you in the sun. Happy Trails.
Slow traffic ahead Today, we were in a moving parking lot. Snail speed. Take some Dramamine and you'll be ok, Colleen. Throw another log on the fire, Ray. Sounds like it's chilly there. Glad you are right there with us, Colleen. It's a bumpy ride so double up on the pills.
Birthday Party Sorry I missed the party but wish Paul a Happy Birthday from your armchair traveler . It sounds like a good time was had by all and many miles traveled. Happy Trails.
Thanks I just love your comments, Colleen! Paul says thanks for his birthday wish...he's in Fruita, CO right now...says it's the Meccca for mountain biking. After he leaves here, he goes to Moab, Utah for another week of biking. I can hardly get off the couch!
Another Smethport Memory I remember going to Lynn Hall when I was about 8 0r 9 years old for dinner with my mother and some other people on a Sunday afternoon. I do not remember the food but I remember I had to wear a shirt and tie. I also remember the tables were covered with white linen cloths. How do we remember this stuff!
Another Smethport Memory Cory,
The picture of you by yourself in the movie theater reminded me of going to the Smethport movie theater for the Friday night double feature when we were in first and second grade and sitting in the first row (we always got their early and looking back up at the theater looked like your photo, i.e. no one there (in our case yet). My mother gave me a quarter. It cost 14 cents to get in and a dime for a bag of popcorn. When I saved my pennies I would get two bags of popcorn. What fun memories!

I remember I remember us chewing red licorice sticks and shooting them onto the movie screen. Some would stick. Do you remember that? Good memories, my friend. Cory
Reminds me a little of...... old home week in the summers at Smethport with the carnival and parade. Hey Cory remember the one summer we were in the drum and bugle corps. You, Buddy and I played tenor drums in the front row because we didn't know music but we could just do a steady beat on the drums and no one was the wiser. I think. Poor Don Igoe 12 bugles went up and only his sound came out! Of course the only thing that really mattered was being able to do the old home week tour of surrounding communities each week and then walking around the carnivals afterwards in our "cool" uniforms!
Lulu Loved the trip around the county, but I must say Lulu has a real style all of her own. I loved the hat do you think she will let me wear it for special event??While you are out and about hitting the high roads I am digging and planting. You know I just love playing in the dirt. Happy Trails.
Dirt Digger Glad you liked the recent jaunts we took. Lulu said you can borrow her hat anytime you want. You are so much more faithful to your gardening than anyone I know. I managed to cut off the dead heads and thought that was a big deal.
Soon Do you go to Stratford soon? Or have you already been? Sunnydale Sales this weekend. Supposed to rain. Our daughter sets up at Della's house . Hope all is well at your end. Love, Sandy
Where is Greenwood? You mean I didn't break your camera? As usual, I enjoyed your blog. And, no, we do not live on a dirt road miles from civilization! If you're wandering this way again, look for County Route 62 (Rock Creek Road) and you'll find 2 tri-color collies guarding our fenced in place (to keep the deer and bear from destroying the garden and feeders). You are always welcome!
Wrong guess Glad you enjoyed the blog, Ginny.....don't know why I thought you lived far out in boonies but I did. The tri-color collies would really give your place away...none found in the Amazon Jungle.
Wow and I tired. Loved the fair, and all of the other sites, but this trip really tired me out and i never left the house. That tells you I am feeling my age. Happy Trails.
Memories of Cory's House. The first time I went to Cory's house after school when we were in grade school. I thought the booth seating (like in a restaurant) in the kitchen are was so cool! Then in high school going down into the basement under the new house addition section and playing pool on a regulation sized pool table with pockets! So neat.
We used to live in the Western part of NY, close to PA border. Have been married 59 years. We have four fabulous children (Lory, Kim, Cory, Tim). They have given us nine terrific grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. All families live in N.Y. We are retired...Cory was VP of Human Resources...Sandy was an R.N. We now live in our 2008 Phaeton RV full time and are loving it! In 2012 we lost our beloved dog, Chip - our chocolate lab. He was our dear traveling companion. He was almost 13 years old. His memory will travel with us wherever we go. We winter in Florida at Tropical Palms RV Park in ... full info
