Hope all is well Fantastic sunsets - how stunning were they. We are with the Howells family this weekend so will be sending your love to them. Hopefully we will get to speak to you at some point. Happy travels. Lots of love x x x x
Great blog title Ace blog Mum, well done. Just wanted to mention the wobbly roo bar .... we broke it! When we did our little trip up Gibb River Road we broke the Roo Bar on the corrugations. We had it re-welded in Derby with no problem at all by a mobile welder man & it didn't cost much. Hope it's just a bolt though come lose though, it might be. x x x
42 degrees Hi - good to hear from you. We haven't had to 'suffer' 42 degrees yet - 30 might be nice though!! All the locals love it when it rains of course. Love J&G
Familiar pictures Hi
We have similar photos from our trip to Geraldton last year, so brings back memories. Our time there though was baking hot - sorry. Although 42 deg was a little too hot.
Happy travels
Love G & K
PS .... forgot to say... .... that I accidentally found the photo of Dad's 'streak' the other day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I shall keep it nice and safe for your return!!! x x x x
Wow, fab sunsets! Great photos again, the sunsets are fabulous. Very envious of where you are and where you're going, we must check our lottery ticket!!! x x x
Jellyfish - shudder! Fantastic that you got to see the Royal Wedding - I didn't as the TV packed up at work!!! How rude!! We did enjoy a bit of a street party in the evening though. Our sloe gin was quite a hit! I shall enquire about busking licenses for Perth .... just in case!!! x x x
The war against ants Hi Mac - we'll certainly give the bay leaves a try. We're just beginning to win the war with the ants but not necessarily the battle with Graham's expanding waistline!! Jan
Hi folks
I read the other day that bay leaves are a good ant repellent. Never tried it myself but a good 'green' alternative to poisons. Let me know if it works. Love the photos that you are sending now, though the effects of the fish and chips and pies are showing Graham!
Message from Sue Hi both, Sue Madeley rang last night. We had a lovely chat and I filled her in on your adventures so far. She also passed on a Happy Birthday message Mum. She's very well and sends her love to both of you. She had been out to lunch with her eldest neice yesterday so had enjoyed a walk and being out and about.
Good on you Dad for walking the canopy in the high trees - now you just need to scale the Gloucester Tree ...... maybe not, even I stopped 3/4s of the way to the top!!!!

We missed all this! Another great blog - well done! Fabulous photos too. We didn't go to Albany during our big trip, we missed it out because when we went there on our honeymoon it didn't strike us as being anywhere too appealing - how wrong were we! It looks great! x x x x
Nice leap of faith there Dad! Far too athletic!! x x x
Missing things Hi - thanks for your good wishes. We're sorry too that we missed you while you were in Aus. No doubt you are busy planning your next trip!! Jan xxx
Happy Birthday Sorry we missed your birthday in Australia but we got the right time here!!! Anyhow, hope you had a great day. We are gradually getting ourselves organised back in the U.K. but it does take a while as you well know. We have been back a week now but in that time have been to Kent to see the family. Suzanne, of course, flew to Sydney and Darwin on business 2 days after we got back - so we have yet to meet up with her this year.
Keep the blogs coming.
Love

Your rest area Dad did check out the toilet and advised me not to go near so I didn't!! He didn't actually slow down for me to get the photos of the trees that's why they're a bit blurred and there's only a couple of photos!
Our rest area! Glad you didn't check out the toilet facility here .... it was not good!!!!!
We actually spent a peaceful night there though.....I'll have to check the blog for anything else exciting that might have happened!!!

PS - love the fact Dad slowed down enough for you to get a photo of a decorated tree! I kept missing them - Darryl will say that was because I was asleep but I will say it's because he was going too fast and wouldn't turn around!!!
Darryl's pipe!! Oh how he loved that pipe! He mulled over where it started, where it was going and what it was for for hours and hours!!! If you ever find out do please let us know!!

Hi and welcome to our blog. We have set out on our second great adventure in Australia, following in the footsteps of those magnificent bloggers The Wallaby Wanderers. Originally we were due to go in March and spend a few weeks with the Wanderers (daughter Sarah and son-in-law Darryl) but those plans were blown apart by the small matter of a triple heart bypass operation that Graham needed. However, all's well that ends well, Graham is fit and healthy again so we arrived in Aus on the 14th August and picked up 'PIE' the trusty Nissan Terrano that Sarah and Darryl bought last year and 'SWEE... full info
