Snakes!
Lovely to talk to you earlier mammy! And I say again, please don't get out of the car to take any photos of snakes on your drive back to Perth! But if you see any sheepshearing ranger type Hugh Jackmans, you can get out of the car - and get their number for me!! Speak soon, keep the photos coming! xxx

Margaret River
Well sounds like you had an amazing trip and have managed to his some of the highlights including the Cape Leeuwin light house.. Great pictures of your travels. Did you manage to go up the Gloucester tree of just visit? I think this is an amazing tree and look out. With the controlled fires, I think these are very beneficial to ensure we are limiting the hazard for the summer but one thing is for sure I have seen the most spectacular sunsets when there is a fire. I look forward to seeing more or your trip. Benji The Margaret River Guide

am so enjoying these blogs
Hi Lynne, Just wanted to say how much you and your blog amd the wonderful photos are lifting my spirits. It's just great to remember how much world is out there even if I don't get to see much of it. Sometimes you can get so marooned on your island of grief that you forget to lift your eyes to the horizon. Anyway, keep it up, get us all through the winter and enjoy yourself! Much love, Sue xx

Inspiration
Hi Lynne. Well as always I am sitting at work reading your blog and thinking what a bloody lovely time you are having. I think Michael would be very proud of you and you are an inspiration. When we lose the ones we love it's easy to sink, but I'd definitely say you've decided to swim. Keep it up and look forward to the next instalment (well, in a jealous kind of way!). Love and hugs, Hils x

Prill is mother courage
Hi Lynne, Yes she decided we could go. Singapore for three days, then Sydney for a week. Then onto Christchurch. What was the name of the hostel you stayed at in sydney? Is it quite easy to get from the airport to the city? and did you have to pay for your Australian visa? So many questions. Keep enjoying your trip Love Prill and Bob

You've seen more of Aus than us!
Hi Lynne - it looks like you've seen more of Australia than us. After this adventure, we will be 'home bound' for a few years so maybe we can improve our local education. Arrived back from Morocco yesterday - long delays due to strikes in France so there were diversions out of French air space. Can't remember the last time we went to Europe and there wasn't a strike in France! Picked up the car from your son's house - thanks again, then off to a hotel for us to wash and pack for Florida. Drive to Heathrow and fly to Orlando tomorrow at midday. Hope the weather is good for the Space Shuttle. Beautiful day here today (Folkestone) - cool but sunny. Keep on travelling!

do I look happy?

The outdoor life and sunshine
You look so happy and content with the outdoor life. We can only look and dream. Cooling down a lot now and its heating on and cardigans on with warm scarves - just so as you can appreciate the moment not as if you need to be told :) Enjoy!

Wowee Lynne, what a journey you are having. Can see you are having the time of your life. Helped a friend from Lithuania fill in a Visa application for 2 weeks in Australia - she was worried about expense and not being able to afford any longer. Where did you find out about the home exchange - she wants to stay as cheap as possible. I stayed with families across America for 6 weeks long time ago. So yes it is an experience beyond belief. Well done you - keep enjoying every minute. Cos I am certainly enjoying your photos and blog xx

whale of a time
Aren't you just having what my title suggests. It looks GORGEOUS. I saw whales in Australia a few years ago, very close by, I was in a boat with the engine turned off and could hear them breathing-(blowing). Couldn't believe I was privileged enough to be sharing that same bit of space and time and oxygen with them. Well I'm off to bed now, uplifted as ever by your blog after a rather shabby friday, Sue xx

Hi Lynne The food sounds very interesting but can't say I am in hurry to try your latest 'grub'. I am off to Cadbury's World tomorrow which I know I will enjoy! Might also enjoy the odd glass of wine with 2 old uni friends. I will expect to be educated about Aussie Wines when you come back! Remember our wine choosing in Calais - massive room for improvement! Take Care Love Geraldine

Inspiration
Dear Lynne, You came to us as a guest (strange axe lady) but left as a Friend and it was so lovely to have you here with us, and for us to see the wonders of Western Australia through your eyes and be reminded how lucky we are to live here. You are truly a lovely lady and a great Inspiration we admire you so much for your guts to travel alone in this world and to have picked us to be your hosts. It really was a pleasure and we look forward to joining you again at the weekend.

Freemantle
Hi Lynne Glad that you seem to be enjoying Australia. If you go back to Fremantle, you must visit Little Creatures, right on the wharf. It is a working brewery, with its own beer on tap. Great food, heaps of atmosphere, lots of fun in a unique setting. Cheers Maureen
