canals
Hi Lynne, Greatb to hear all your news. Are you thinking of becoming a vegetarian? we are off to Nottingham on Monday to join Gordon on his narrow boat. Really looking forward to travelling through cities on a canal boat. Just like the 19th century. But with yuppie flats instead of industrial complexes. Lots of beer, pies, and sausages. Must keep the blinkers on prill, and add another statin to the evening dose. All the best Love from Prill and Bob

Moving John (AGAIN)!!!!!!!!!
Hi Lynne, I agree. we were absolutely shocked at the number and state of the homeless in Vancouver. They looked bad. When John and George first saw them they thought it was aconvention, or a theatre turning out. Hastings Street does them very little credit. we are moving John again tomorrow. White van man again. Quite enjoy it really. Its alot of fun frightening the posh new cars. Have a continuing good time Love Prill and Bob

mileage
Well done Lynne. More k's than us. Your last night sounds brilliant. It does seem like heaven when you are in it. BC is just stunningly beautiful. We are looking forward to a wet and windy day. We painted the outside of the house, and have a good filled log store which we have sadly started to use. Keep having a good time Love Prill and Bob PS Prill showed me how to make crumble last night and I was a great success. It was lovely.

bears
Hi Lynne, Glad to hear you saw a big black dog. That road is just wonderful, and as you say its not difficult to drive on. Canadians are probably the nicest race of people I have ever met. Well done Canada. It sounds like you have got a tremendous amount out of your trip. We look forward to seeing you when you get back. Great to hear all your news. We are all OK but very boring compared with your antics. So won't bore you with them. All the best Love Prilla and Bob

Homesick
Your description of trying to get out of Calgary was spot on - I had the same trouble earlier this year when I visited. I was trying to get to Banff - a journey I did many, many times in the long distant past - and I too got very frustrated! So it wasn't you Lynne, it was the ***ing lack of clear route signs. Still, I'm glad to hear that you finally got out onto the prairie - I hope you enjoy the wide open spaces. I really do wish I was there with you!

Paul Lake
Hi Lynne and girls, We had a great time at Paul lake. It was such a surprise after all that dry bald landscape before you get to Kamloops. We had to pay though. I think it was 10 dollars. We are all OK. Very glad to hear that you are happy Lynne. Sounds like it has been a very good experience for all of you. Love Prill and Bob But have you seen any bears?

Hi Lynne, No more showing off. I was totally knackered after the climb. And wished I had taken the cable car. I love the sound of all this beer. I was right impressed with Canadian beer when I was there. Glad to hear that all is well, and that the Elks are in fine form. Have you seen any bears yet? All the best Love form Prill and Bob

Dinner with the duffs
Hi Lynne, and girls, Great to hear your news. Whats all this gondola business. We walked up, and down, sulpher Mountain. I agree about the trains. They go through all night don't they. Very hard to sleep as they hoot all the time. We are planning to have a cavery dinner with the duffs next Monday. Ray loves it as it costs £3.50 a head for as much as you can eat. Spent a lovely afternoon in their garden while Prill killed their wysteria. Collecting wood today for the winter log store. If I were you I would use fire lighters to light your fires. Its probably too cold at the moment to light easily, and wet as well. We were there in very hot dry conditions so it almost lit on its own. I wish I was there. It sounds great. Love Prill and Bob

Hello Lynne - just seen you reply
I do not have a blog unfortunately as i am not travelling at the moment. I enjoy reading travel blogs such as yours, especially from Australasia as i love that part of the world whilst i am at work as it helps me to escape for a while. Take care, Tim

To Tim from Lynne
Thanks,Tim, for your kind wishes. It has been difficult to settle down to "normal life" coming home. I enjoyed writing the blog - friends said I was becoming addicted to it. Well - addicted to travel!! I am off again tomorrow with one of my Ozzie friends -this time to Northern Spain- so I guess I will have to make another blog entry. Do you have a blog - I would like to read yours? Lynne
