Hurry up Summer!!
Hi Lynne How disappointing it is so cold! Ruth & Tim leave on Friday for Tokyo (one week) then on to Paris by 12th for a week there. We certainly want the weather to come right for everybody!! Love the look of that market, especially the peaches.. Yum!! Jocelyn

Chasing the sun!
Another little travellers tale from our intrepid traveller. We did the same, taking wrong turns finding our way into the Madrid Airport last week. I know the frustrating feeling!! Have a great time Lynne.

Hello from sunny England
All that food looks really yummy! We have had warmth here - most of the time - sun usually appearing in the evening! xx

Welcome Home!
Hi Lynne It has been wonderful to follow you on your travels - in between entertaining my brother and sister-in-law! - I always wonder how you manage to settle once you reach home. Seeing and hearing about Seattle makes me determine to visit my cousin who lives there! See you on Monday?! Love Jill

What an honor it was to meet you. I may never get to visit all the places you have been to, but being added to your blog, I can travel along with you in spirit as I view your wonderful pictures and read your interesting and informative blogs. We enjoyed the warmth of your company and welcome you back anytime. Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your new friends in Washington. Wishing you a safe trip home. Take care. Stay safe and keep laughter in your life. Always, Rosemarie

Thanks for coming to the U.S.
You took a good look around. Many come to the U.S. and only see Vegas and LA or NYC. That does not give you a true picture of the USA. Isn't Leavenworth a great little town? Let us know when you are coming back.

Sunshine
Hi Lynne - what a wonderful looking place - I was amazed by the friendliness of folk in SA when I was there - opening their doors to strangers with a only a tenuous link! We have just had a weekend with cousins in Folkestone - 20 relatives (some unexpected) - fabulous barbecue in the garden, yes in the garden in very hot sunshine!!!!!! Today we lazed, again in the sun and had a few games of Petanque - lots of wine was consumed and today we had Bucks Fizz - no I am not trying to compete with you .....! Look forward to welcoming you home before too long. With love, Jill x

Nearly Seattle
Hi Lynne I was waiting for that next blog after the news we had about the collapse of the bridge towards Seattle! The road might be a bit slow now or perhaps a detour of some kind. Oregon is a place we would like to visit. Ruth and Tim went there with NZ Youth Choir and the photos are so pretty. All the best for the last segment of your amazing journey. Love Jocelyn

Condors, Pelicans, Elk, Redwoods and Wildflowers!
What an amazing trip you're having Lynne. I've really enjoyed reading your blog and the wonderful photos. It's been great reliving many of the highlights from our holiday last year - but of course you've done so much more. There are a lot more places on my to do list now! Well we're off to Madeira tomorrow (at 3.00 a.m.!) just for a week - looking forward to exploring this beautiful island and finding some sunshine. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Love Jane x x

Hi Lynne, Just a quickie to say I'm still reading your blog. Have had a bit of a ridiculously busy time recently but now all is quieter because .. I've retired!! Yeah. freedom. Lovely to see your beautiful pictures as ever, your intrepid adventures are an example to us all (and a cheap way for us to travel.) Have fun. Sue x

How can we compare?
Hi Lynne This sure looks better than the views during my week of celebration in Leicester!!! Many thanks for the card - seem to have hundreds - will have to read them all through when things settle a little. Had a lovely time with Arthur on my day 'in charge' and lovely weekend with Mark, Annabelle, Peter and Joy - enjoyed swimming / sauna / steam room at hotel. Now back home with piles of washing etc. Off on Sunday to Kent to visit more cousins and no doubt celebrate some more - it sure is hard work being 70!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your time with new friends look forward to reading the next blog Love Jill x

Tall trees
Hi Lynne. Having a great time as usual and seeing everything and more. Yes, the US does have the tallest trees, our Kari and tingle in the west of Oz are only second tallest! We also have a tre e that we could drive through, at no cost, but it fell down, because of the drive thrus... A bit like McKays! Hopefully they will fall one day! Now one can just look at the stump..... We are having a great time in Spain. Now in Barcelona, arrived this PM.... Love it already! Col & Peter

Stunning photos again. The flowers in California coastal Drive 1 look just like the Alicante weed, perhaps some Hunky Spanish Pirate brought them over? Tel says well done having survival kit close at hand add some chocolate to it. Lol xxxx
