Don't hand in your passport!
I was worried when we went to Greece because it was the place I had "dreamed" of since childhood. I was afraid I had built it up too much and I would be disappointed. That was not the case. I feel in love and felt like I was living in a postcard. I love the Plaka and have jewelry to prove it! Eager to read more.

Terrific!
So good to see how you are back on your travels, Lynne! Love the pics too! I'm going to be housebound for a while, as I have smashed my femur/hip and have had extensive surgery. Good thing I have a pleasant view from the house! All my lovely friends have been so kind to me! Let's hope I can be mobile in a few more weeks! I was hoping to get to Singapore this year, as my son and his wife and kids have just moved there. Fingers crossed!

Escaping the Winter!
10 years is a long time in a place like Dubai. They've been busy making it the biggest and the best. It is always interesting to go back to a place you've been a decade before. Some sad impressions and others impressive. Enjoy the time with Suzanne and come our way soon.

I hope to visit Dubai someday...
back in 2008, just before the global recession hit, I was offered a job as project manager for 2 40 story towers with associated marina, etc. The recession cancelled that project. But I've never given up on the idea to visit someday. Thanks for your informative blog.

Marvelous Malta!
Your description and photos of Malta make it quite an alluring destination, and I could gaze on this photo forever. The boat rides and history sound wonderful. I also love the details you catch--doors and doorknockers, floors and tomb mosaics and the breathtaking decorations in St John Co Cathedral. Looking forward to your next adventure!

You do get around !
You do get around. I see you went to Key West now. I have been there before and enjoyed it as well. The pictures were very colorful. I used to have a lady friend in Houston who used to tell me how she and her siblings used to live next to Tennessee Williams and tease and torment him all the time for fun. I told her she was probably the inspiration for the "no neck monsters" in the play "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof".

The joys of Key West
There was a time in my life I seriously thought about moving to Key West. Who knows it could still happen some day. A quirky town that has more to offer than on the surface. I'm glad you made it down there.

Embracing Miami
You've taken in the beaches, the architecture and the drinks. Good job. Next time you are in the area check out Ft. Lauderdale as it has a lot to offer also and maybe a drive down to Key West. Loved these waffles.

Jam jars
Interesting to see the jam jar. We went to a café in Victoria on Vancouver Island last year where they used jam jars and straws for alcoholic drinks which had pieces of bacon floating on the top. The young men of the city didn't seem to mind at all having their drink this way! The café was called Jam and the food was to die for. Wonderful reading your latest blog, Lynne. Can't get over the courage you have driving in all those foreign places. Neither of us would be so brave!! Jocelyn and Mac xx
