Fall in New England!
You two were so wise to go to New England in the fall with its glorious red- and golden-leaves! Sounds as if you got a great sense of the history and culinary delights of Boston in just a couple of days--good show! I love that shot of you sitting in the curious chairs in Harvard Yard, and look forward to your Cape Cod adventure.

Not USA again!!
Gosh it takes you to bring us down to earth and back to reality!! Here in New Zealand we have been sitting around waiting to see what terrible things the Americans are going to do to our economy, our share market, our exchange rate, yay, our very way of life as we knew it and YOU are over there taking advantage of it all!! We have just returned from Alaska and part of that was a cruise where we met some of the tea party people! Nearly everyone we met wanted rid of Obama and some would even pay to have that done they said. That was scary!! They were so full of hate about EVERYTHING....even about Canadians whom we have a very soft spot for. Think I'm forgetting this is not an email. Sorry. Love your blogs so much. Have a GREAT time. Welcome back to the U.S.
The place you stayed near Harvard sounds fantastic. Looks like the leaves are colorful. Ah, the joys of fall in New England. Sounds like you ate all the perfect food groups. Glad you are learning some American History.

Amazing photos and incredible Arches Experience!
I would like to thank you for this amazing blog post. Your experience at Arches National Park reminded me of my own journey to this one of a kind tourist destination. I managed to capture alot of gorgeous photos which I would want to share with you my own gallery of Arches National Park Pictures.

cold English summer?
Oh what a pity Lynn, you were in one of my favourite bits of France at the wrong time of the wrong bit of summer. We used to own a house not far from Millau back in the good old days. Hope the months of July and August in Britain have made up for your chilly June in France.

Great sights to see
Hi Lynne I have thoroughly enjoyed your journey in Europe! There are several places there that I want to visit. Wish Mac would drive a car over there but he won't. I could do that but he is not a navigator!! Have to get a Sally. Ruth and Tim leave Paris today for Belgium then Amsterdam. They are very keen to see those poppies in the fields. Thanks for all your effort with the blog. You can enjoy summer now! Love Jocelyn

Kettle
I know what you mean about having a small kettle while traveling. I have one I bought in Cork, Ireland when I was there. It runs on 220. I used it so I could have my tea immediately upon arising in the morning in my room while I thought things over. It fit in my suitcase along with ziplocks of t-bags, sugar and powdered milk. I used it all over Europe last summer.

Gorgeous Photos
Really gorgeous photos, especially of the trees. Interesting about the weather. I know that Mark Twain said the coldest winter he ever had was a summer in San Francisco. I kind of felt the same way about Ireland when I was there.

Awesome pictures
When I went to Monument Valley I did not take the Navajo tour. Your pictures made me deeply regret my decision. I will be sure to do so on my next time there.

Unpredictable weather
Hi Lynne Wow the weather has gone crazy all over. I am sorry to hear that you are freezing your butts off! It was the opposite for me in USA. Just left Las Vegas 36 hours ago with the temperatures soaring to 117 F. The air was burning my lungs it was so hot. Even walking down the Strip at 1.00 am it was 95 F. Cars were broken down everywhere and some planes couldn't fly because of the heat. Death Valley hit 128 F.They had the highest temperatures since 1942 and only two degrees off a new record. Well I hope things warm up for you all very soon. Give my love to Maureen and tell her we are all missing her. Love Susan xxx
