Meant to reply to this blog earlier. I thought this was really well-written, Pierre! Such an interesting insight to the current views (and misinformation) on Ebola as well as the heroes like Doctors without Borders and many of the other groups willing to get out there. We've also read a lot about how local nurses, doctors, clean-up crews are often ostracized by even there own families due to the fear the E-word seems to strike. As with many diseases, the stigma can be just as devastating.
This is way too funny! No kidding...and we didn't even once shared the fact that we were all travelblog addicts! And not even one picture of us together...damn it! Hope to see you again somewhere in the world!
Bucket List This is amazing! This trip is on our short list. Did you get to meet Cranster? Would love to head up to this play ground. Thanks for the detail and great photos.
Cute! Those bears are too adorable! great photos. I think I would have found it difficult not to stick my hand out and try to pat them. Reading your first paragraph made me tired, how do you cope with traveling so much, having a full time job and raising two kids? I take my hat off to you, sir!
Thanks a lot for the very kind words.... The trick is simple...there is no need to complain about life, just try to make it happen. The solution...all the time you don't spend complaining, it's time you use to make a difference....all this would only be possible because I try to get surrounded by great people....sometime it works, sometime it doesn't...than believe me, all this is stressful....not for me, but for the simple fact that I need to make sure the kids do reach University safely...and none of us is protected from the next economic downturn...and in the meantime....what is done is done, and I try to enjoy it to the best...while I can! But still, thanks for the kind words!
We have a TB'er living in Churchill... I don't suppose you bumped into [blogger=61230]. He might not have got back from touring Greenland when you are there.
Churchill It has been at the top of our list for the past couple of years. We should make it soon. Eager to hear your impressions and see lots of photos.
Hi! I'm only at the near end of day one out of three days...and it's just insane. The bad news, is that for blogging about it...it's going to take some time...
This blog is just short of 10 years old. We have now move to South Africa.
Why South Africa? Simple, great wine, great food, great golf and even more amazing diving! I will for once continue to blog from time to time about home. After all, this is just my fourth continent after having grow up in Europe, lived in Asia for twenty years, and even spent a full year living the life of Buenos Aires.
Come to visit....there is so much to do here! ... full info
