On Monday I woke up and we got the train from Paddington to Bristol to visit my Dad’s friend Phoebe. The train journey took about two hours on a fast train and when we got to Bristol, Phoebe met us and we caught the ferry up the river from the station into the City Centre. We had something to eat in the city next to an old clock that when it struck the hour two little men came out and hit the bell. Phoebe got me a Bristol tee-shirt that was really cool. Then we met Jude who was on her way back from the Glastonbury Festival. She had a lot of stuff with her including a tent and muddy boots. When we had all met up we went to Phoebe’s house. We had something to ... read more

The next day my Dad went to work for a few hours and I went with his Spanish friend Melanie to the British museum. We saw lots and lots of Egyptian stuff including mummies and sarcophagi but the museum is really big so we only saw a little bit. After that we had pancakes with maple syrup then we got on a double decker bus to the park. I played in the park and there was a half sphere that you get in and spin around in. After that my Dad came back with the hire car and we drove to a village near Oxford called Eynsham where my Dad's friends Hughie and Fran live. Hughie is a very famous drummer. When we got there I played with their animals. They have chickens, parrots, guinea pigs ... read more

On our return trip to london we nearly ran out of petrol. According to the clock we had two miles worth of petrol left but we made it! The next day, I went with my Dad's Mum to the Tower of London. I saw a lot of stone structures. I also saw the keep called the White Tower which is the oldest part and was built by William the Conquerer. I bought two daggers and a sword from the shop they had there. When my Dad got home from work we went to Regent's Park and played frisbee with Sonny who is my Dad's oldest friend. The next day I went to the London Zoo and I met my Cousin Pauline. We saw lots of animals including meercats and reindeer. There was a petting place where ... read more

After we woke up on our first day in Norwich, we went into the city. Before we went into town I had bacon and eggs for breakfast at my Dad's Mum's house. When we got into Norwich we had morning tea and it was hot chocolate and scones for me. There was a secret garden out the back of the old building and my Dad ate my scone when I wasn't looking! It was a rainy day and we decided to go to Norwich Castle. Norwich Castle was not just a medieval castle. It is also a museum today with Egyptian, Viking and Roman displays. The keep of the castle is the only part of the original castle remaining. It has got a well in it that you can throw coins down and it must be ... read more

The next day we went to see my Dad's Mum in Norwich going via Cambridge. When I woke up I decided to watch some TV for about half an hour. Then my Dad got up and we started getting ready. I got together most of the stuff I wanted to take and put it in my bag. When I was ready my Dad went to collect the rental car. About 30 mins into the trip we discovered I had left my coat behind. Then 5 mins later we discovered each of us had left something behind. After a lot of talking, it was decided I was going to get a new coat. At about midday we stopped for lunch at an old, old medieval pub called the Brocket Arms in a village in Hertfordshire called Ayot ... read more

When we got on the plane from Singapore it started a long 13 hour journey to England. We had lots of on-demand TV and movies to watch as well as in built video games. This was all good for keeping me up because the plane left at 1.40pm (11.40am Australian time) and arrived 7.45pm English time (4.45am Australian time) so I had actually missed a nights sleep. By then I was so tired and when the plane landed it was very cold and we still had to go on another 2 trains before we got to my Dad's house. When we actually got there I didn't feel tired anymore but by the time I had surfed all of the different English TV channels and had watched a few I had gotten tired and I went to ... read more

This is about my time in Singapore. We left Brisbane to go to Singapore on Monday the 16th June 2008 at 2:45pm and we arrived at 10.15pm (8:15 Singapore time). Then we went on the bus to our hotel. I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed and had a huge breakfast. After that we went out and I discovered really how hot it is in Singapore because it's 100km North of the Equator. We walked to the MRT (Mass Rapid Transport System) and went into town where they had a huge amount of food stalls but no one was fat. We visited a Buddhist and a Hindu temple. Then we went on a boat trip up the Singapore river and I saw some amazing architecture. In the evening we went on the night safari at ... read more
