Geo: 51.1639, -0.172791Safely down to Gatwick through very autumnal English weather! Drizzling the whole way!! An early dinner in a very busy restaurant attached to the premier inn and now early to bed as alarms are set for STUPID O'clock!!... read more

Geo: 48.6341, 0.0823395The final morning of pastries followed a very very rne stothrmy night, where building literally shook with the wind!! A little more puddle jumping and taking a rubble ducky with us, took up the majority of the morning!! Organisation of a grp photo was easier than expected with fingers relatively controlled and then it was time to hit the road again!! Three hours of waiting for our ferry due to storms meant we were sat in the port, in the car, surrounded by coaches of sports teams!! It was not the most ideal situation, but not a whole lot that we could do! With vending machines to keep us fed and watered and a little wedding prep for me, stamping the tags for the seats meant I was entertained!!The ferry crossing itself was a ... read more

Geo: 48.6341, 0.0823395The smell of hotcross buns wafting upstairs is enough to raise any tired person from their bed, esp with Nutella involved as well! The sun was beaming into the farmhouse and was calling for a walk out into the French countryside.Matt and Nunny had not quite arisen from the land of nod before we were ready to head out, so they supervised the house and had breakfast whilst the 4.5 girls (Erin is one a half at the moment!) and 3 boys headed out to find a Druid ruin. It was not a strenuous path, however munchkin decided that walking was not as fun as being carried, it became an arm exercise as much as anything, with her being passed around like a relay baton one blood loss to arms was severe enough to ... read more

Geo: 48.6341, 0.0823395Awake early with the light, the doze was most welcome and a French breakfast of pastries made me very happy! Erin eventually came around to thinking I wasn't the scariest person in the history of the universe (to be fair I had glasses on and unbrushed hair!!) and we had 2yr old take on tea for two- I do kinda wish I had a real sized version of her tea set... So pretty!! Once all dressed we mobilised our army of 9.5 peoples to the farmers market in Sees, for which again I was very excited! The last French market I went to, I was in year 8 and our trusting teachers had given 4 girls a budget to buy lunch from said market... Other groups bought salads, fruits, cheeses, selection of breads and ... read more

Europe » France March 25th 2016

Geo: 48.6069, 0.172762It was abt 20.30 when we finally arrived at the farm, venturing down smaller and narrower French roads, praying not to meet any oncoming vehicles so that snap decisions of what side to swerve to could be avoided and in addition praying not to meet a drunk French farmer with a shotgun!! The sat nav announced that we had reached our destination literally in the middle of nowhere so we headed towards the nearest house lights and hoped.... Again that we wouldn't meet a scary Frenchman!! The fact that Dave and Lucy no longer had their focus car perturbed us slightly but an English car with an Erin seat in it would not be so far in the middle of no where for any other reason!! Greater by hugs, the most amazing house and ... read more

Geo: 50.9579, 1.85214Happy days that we paid the extra £12 for some priority boarding so that we could blast into the ferry first! We are precariously parked on one of the ramps down out of the ferry, so fingers crossed the electric handbrake is a gooden!!Due to be the first out of cars we all scrambled to the food ... Much to my disappointment not a Mac D's in sight, but a sandwich and a Starbucks satisfied the hunger. After negotiating the rude and the foreign in duty free we are now in French waters!!... read more

Geo: 51.1297, 1.31114So it seems a little silly to write a blog for 3 days away, however we have been sat at Dover for nearly 2 hrs now and moved abt a mile so ta da.....James has been fishing with a tape measure for a book that had been abandoned on the side of the lane we are in. We are slowly exhausting the M.Jackson playlist on Spotify and Nunny has already eaten his pack lunch!! We decided to eat on the ferry at 11am.... Bad choice!! #should_have_bought_doughnuts... read more

Geo: 50.8999, -119.458Going to write the last few days as one as apart from beach activities and drinking cider there has not been that much going on!! On Saturday there were 13 of us with Becca's friends from Uni (Stacey and Nikita) , her cousin and her fiancé (Mel and Elliot) their friend Emily, Becca's sister Liz and her husband Danny within their friends Erin and Duncan. IAttached to the cabin are a jetty and a smaller floating dock to. So for most of Saturday we were sat out there in 38 degree heat, swimming, floating around, drinking from the cooler we had floated out there! The water changed temperatures a lot dependent on how many speed boats had gone by turning over the water. It was a lovely way to cool off though. In the ... read more
