Hi friends and family, Rodger and I went bush this week for a few days with my cousin Marise, hubby John and Sam the dog (John UK – Marise is one of the twins). I just want to try out our travel blog and see if it still works. Sunday 30th was my mum’s 87th birthday and our planned outdoor event had to be cancelled due to rain. Tuesday 1st November is our Melbourne Cup – which is a BIG horse racing day in OZ. I held my usual Cup party, but I have given up on the big garden parties now and have a few selected friends invited for a ‘High English Tea’ event (No alcohol....would you believe?) This year I served for hot/cold savoury food – Crumbled chicken slices on a bed of herbed ... read more

Hi all, we had 4 wonderful days at Harrington with family and friends. Rodger actually caught 2 fish (Bream) that were keepers and we did enjoy for dinner one night. We had an enjoyable evening BBQing with all the family and also a great afternoon at the local pub with everyone. We went down to the local to watch our footy team play on the BIG screen. Our team ‘The Knights’ won 40 – 8. You will see a pic of little Knox’s girlfriends – Lily and Ruby. They are the latest editions to our family. Knox has the best of both worlds at his finger tips. Lily is blonde and Ruby is dark, so he can choose or have both ............ lol. We certainly have 3 wonderful new babies around us. Please remember to arrow ... read more

Today we were up by 6.30am and busy pulling down our site, ready for our BIG move up north. The map will show you are far we travelled........... lol. So we are settled here in Harrington (where we go fishing every year.) Cheryl, Jeff, Katrina and little baby Ruby is staying in the same caravan park. Also Natalie and little baby Lily visited this arvo. It was great. Harrington is mainly known for its fishing (except when Rodger hits town ..hehe) and is a popular tourist stop. It is coastal, with wonderful beaches, inlets and streams. The scenery is beautiful as you will see from the pics. I must remind you all to arrow down, down, down under the ad banner, to see all the pics that I put up when you receive your blog update. ... read more

Hi everyone, yes we are on the move again. We left home at 2.20pm Sunday 31st July, after watching Corey play hockey. We were a bit sad having to leave our little Knox, Jasper and Goldie behind. We always miss everyone when we are away. We did not travel far; just up the road north 2 hours to Tuncurry / Forster. For my International bloggers; this area is on the north coast where the 2 towns are separated by a long bridge. It’s main industries is fishing and oyster cultivation. It is a very well known and popular tourist destination. The scenery is spectacular. We have spent 3 relaxing days in a caravan park on the beach. Once again Rodger has been fishing and had to throw his tiddlers back. Yesterday we spent time with my ... read more

Well friends and family, this will be my last blog for a while as I am back home in Lakelands. I flew in from Melbourne yesterday to surprise my family. Rodger is still in Melbourne working for his old boss for a few days. He is expected back here on Tuesday with our caravan (our home). I miss it already. As I type this message I am looking around my BIG kitchen and thinking, “Thank goodness I don’t have to clean it”. My whole caravan would just about fit in it, if we sliced it in two and laid it side by side. As for the rest of the house, I don’t even want to know. Who in their right mind would want to clean 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, lounge room, dining room, family ... read more

Hi everyone. I hope this blog finds you all well and happy. Weather getting warmer for my Northern Internationals and colder and wetter for my OZ bloggers. We are in Melbourne and Rodger is helping his old boss out with a few days work. Hey, me not complaining, I get to do what I want. Today I went off and had a manicure, spa pedicure, hair cut and colour. Oh boy did I need some attention after being in bush camps, carrying rocks, hunting for firewood etc. Rodger is happy to see the workmates again; I just wish he didn’t have to wake me up at midnight last night to tell me all the news....lol. This caravan park in a Melbourne suburb is great. They even have heated floors in the amenities. This is the first ... read more

Sunday 29th May. I can’t believe that we have been on the go for 2 months now and have loved every bit of it. We could do this for the rest of our lives, except we will probably run out of money. Diesel is our biggest expense and towing a big heavy van does not help. We have found that we cannot travel over 85 KPH or we get less than 5 Klm per litre and when it costs anywhere from $1, 60 to $2.09 per litre, you have to be careful. We save by free camping, which we love and cooking our own meals. I am not complaining, just letting you know some facts in case you are thinking about doing what we are doing. Today we spent the day touring all around the region ... read more

Hi to all, we have been on the move again. We did leave Adelaide on Friday morning and had a lovely drive over the Adelaide Hills. It is such a beautiful place. We did not call into Hahndorf this time as our van is too big to go down the narrow streets. Bugga, I would love to have picked up more of my favourite caramel fudge. For my International bloggers, Hahndorf is a quaint old town that was started by Germans years ago. It is now a tourist favourite when in South Australia. I love it and have been there a few times. We are now well and truly in Victoria. The scenery was wonderful all the way. Once again, the country areas are mainly sheep and wheat and of cause GRAPES. Not the eating type; ... read more
