Ohhh, how we love it........
Reading about your trip has made me move India back up our "destination list". We have also travelled through that area and the Backwaters, a totally different experience. Love the info. xx

India again!
Hi Moira and Graeme, We must stop meeting like this! This is more like a holiday than our last 'adventure' in the north and we're loving it of course. Another blog to follow from Kerala very soon. keep on trucking' (PS. We pick up our new motorhome on the 1st March, having sold the present one to Aussie friends). David

The colours of India
I enjoyed the photos in this blog and look forward to reading about the rest of your trip in India. Hope you were luckier with seeing elephants in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve than we were :)

The colours of India
Yes, we did get to see the elephants, more by luck that anything, though still no tigers! There's a second blog in the ether somewhere and yet another, from Kerala to follow soon. There has to be an excuse to return. My brother, Mike (aka Keep Smiling' is on his way back to India for about the tenth time as of today, so keep an eye out for his rather more exciting blogs! David

Nothing changes in Incredible India.
Your blog so makes me want to return. Oh, I forgot - I am returning, in two days time!
13th February 2017

I remember that!
Hi Davis and Janice. How lovely to read of your trip in India, it brings back memories of our travels there, cant wait to read about the next part of the trip. Every time I read about travels in India it brings on a longing to return. Luckily, at the moment we have Mexico to keep us busy. Oh, I know what you mean about the long haul travel, that's why we are staying away as long as possible, it softens the hassle!

Incredible India
Delighted to share it with you. What a great country. More to follow. Somewhat envious of your journey into the unknown! Thinking of you! David

Disney - Paris!

Having a good time!
Sorry you two. A little insensitive of me after reading of your recent Disney experience. You're either not old enough or too young right now! We only had comics as a child in my day - in the days before TV, computers and man on the moon. We're currently back in India with a blog or two to follow. It's the real world and not that of make believe. I like both! David

Just what are you going to do when you grow up? We had our "fix" over here in Florida, it just has to be done. So pleased you are still travelling and blogging. think of you often as we potter around this land mass.

Always a pleasure to read about your latest ramblings. Disney Paris certainly seems like a departure form the usual but you obvoiusly made the best of it and Fred will have memories for a lifetime.
All well here. Our "rambling" will be to the Charleston SC USA then Vancouver and Seattle in the near future. Get away from winter. All the best!

Puffins
We have them all over the house: wooden ones, ceramic ones, paintings, prints, stuffed ones..........! 'Lovely' as we say here in this little country. Janice has to have her annual fix of puffins! David

Next time up there
Next time up there, try to find time to look at the magnificently steepled parish church at Cullercoats - on the coast road just north of Tynemouth. Better still if you can hear the fine tones of the lovingly kept Lewis organ therein. And best of all if you can find a local fisherman to sing to you the folk song "The Cullercoats Fish Lass" - accompanied by the Northumbrian pipes! Wow!!

Northumberland
Hi Keith and Hilary, Good to hear from you. Aylsham is not that far away, but we rarely stray that way these days. We'll try to hook yup with you when next we venture to Cromer or Sheringham. Sadly we're never in one place long enough to enjoy all that is on offer, but we do have fond memories of Northumbrian pipes. I seem to remember we gave a CD of pipe music to my brother-in-law many years back - he's a folk singers, still singing at his club at 85! Our time is spent between golfing, gardening, painting, writing, travelling and all things so important in life, but the motorhome will only get an airing now-and-again this year as Janice is Ladies' Captain and up to her ears in golfing, social and all things golfie. We hope to see you soon and that all is well in the Shaw household. We could still move your way one day - Gate Lodge is somewhat challenging these days. Any land for sale near town? Best wishes, David and Janice

A county I've missed....
...not 'missed' as in 'been there, done that, want to go back' but as in 'I've been to lots of places but not been there, not done that'. The nearest I've been to Robson Greene's Northumberland was, for many years in a previous life, organising holidays abroad for a lady who lived inside Bamburgh Castle. Her name was Miss Norah Balls (how could I forget a name like that?!) and she lived in the Crewe Lodgings there. She used to go to places where the sun always shone! P.S. Did you intentionally censor the picture of the Romantic Kittiwakes? :0)
13th May 2016

One you've missed!
Not many places you haven't been Mike! I noticed the cut-off kittiwakes myself only yesterday - I'll check it out and try again. It's not censored! Keep smiling! Big Bro

England
We need to spend more time in England. We have a few days coming up in March but not enough time. We will have to plan to come back.

Never enough time!
Hi, you two intrepid travellers. It took us seventeen months to circumnavigate North America and I guess we could spend a few months cruising around the UK. One lifetime is insufficient! Belated Birthday greetings. David
