Karamea dreams. Hi there, I was in Karamea at the end of Feb 2012. I stayed with Craig and Tanya who are doing the whole self sufficiency thing. I just stumbled across your blog on Pinterest. I was looking up ideas for a Firebath as I want to put one in at my house - in England (I must be mad with the weather here!!)
What you are doing is inspirations, my fella, James, and Irish lad was also staying with Craig and Tanya and he told me about a couple who were 'shed dwelling' in the bush and had got around the planning permissions. I wonder if it's you guys who he was talking about. He's still on the road in NZ.
Sorry if this message is a little random, but I was so excited to see what you are doing, I just had to write.
Hope all is well. KInd wishes. Belinda.
Your trip We agree with you. Kuta is good to experience but not a place we'd like to stay. If you can you should visit Ubud. It's a bit touristy, but offers something unlike anything else in Bali. Enjoy every moment of your trip!
thankyou.. Helpful info Hi... I am currently organinsing a trip to Bali for October of this year. For myself and 2 sons (6 and 15years).
I am going for 10/11 days and was thinking of spending half the time in Sanur and the other half in South Kuta or legian.
After reading your blog i think it sounds best to stay in Sanur for the first half of the trip. This way we can ease into the bali way of life and surroundings ( and mum can chill a bit lol). Then on the 6th day head into the hussle bussle and do all the tourist stuff with the kids for the rest of the holiday.
How does this sound to you guys??
Thanks again :-)

Good luck and God bless for the next part of your journey, whatever and wherever that may be! We are in the full swing of WC fever and SA is a riot of flags and vuvuzelas. It has been an amazing experience.
Hope you have fun and never forget the lessons that you have been priviledged to learn in the time of your trip. Thank you for sharing all the lovely places you went to with us.

New chapter Ditto mom Corne! What a journey it has been, I think you will have an amazing amount of adveturous stories to tell the little ones one day. I'm so glad that God has opened these new doors for you, that He has been leading you and guiding you all the way. We have been praying for exactly this for such a long time. We pray that this new chapter of your lives will be truly and utterly filled with blessings from God. We are so happy for you, but there is sadness as well, as this makes it official that we won't see u guys until September for the wedding... nudge nudge wink wink say no more say no more! ;-)

Proud of You And that says it all. You took a BIG step of faith and plunged into the unknown and..........you've made it. We are reading again the book of Thomas en Lynette Kinkade, and of cause think about you all the time. I'm proud to call you my children. May He guide, you and keep you, may His face shine upon you and may His love fill your hearts to overflow so that you will be His shining lights where ever you go. Our own spiritual journey has been incredible since you left, we learnt so much and have so much to share..........................., but we know the journey you've embarked on, taught you much more than we could ever have taught you. Now you've learnt from Father God himself and He is the best teacher, mentor and Father anyone can wish for. I'm excited about the next season and can't help smiling, knowing good things are awaiting.
Lots and lots of love,
Mom Corne.

No, thank you!!! Seeing the two of you everyday facing a new challenge and making the best of each possible situation was inspiring to us and the way you grew closer to God is something that most of us can only strive for. We hope your future endeavours will test your faith and humility before God and I'm sure things will work out just fine. We will miss the blog immensely although it had to come to an end sooner or later.
Please keep us posted on the progress that side.
Thank you and may God bless you.

Fellowship I was wondering why you didn't mention in any of your blogs that you had been to church, but didn't mention it as I didn't want to appear judgemental. I'm pleased that you finally were brought to the point where you recognized the need for Christian fellowship; beyond what you have with each other. I always thought with your sense of adventure and musical abilities and now your testimony of how God has met you on your journey that you would make great youth leaders at some church. But I continue to pray that you find a position in your area of expertise. So as with Paddy, I say don't give up.
