Exploring India You've been away from Curacao for a long time now. India has so much to offer. Keep enjoying the backwater towns. Looking forward to more impressions.
Thanks Dave & Merry,
yes, it has been 20 months now and I do miss it hahah. But I want to see and explore as much as I can before going back. India has indeed a LOT to offer and I won't have enough time to see a lot, unfortunately!
So exotic! I love hearing that there are parts of India that aren't crowded and noisy. And such exotic things--thread out of coconut fiber, lunch on a banana leaf (I love that!), and a sign prohibiting menstruating women from entering a Hindu Temple! You are really in an exotic land! I have to say that I agree with you about traveling alone--I prefer it! I love meeting up with people, but that constant compromising takes a lot of effort. Great that you're off on the next part yourself--you never know who you'll meet!

Hi Tara,
Thanks for your comment. Hahahah yes, India is exotic and interesting, so different than anywhere else I've been so far. And yes, that compromising is very annoying. Even when it's just two of you it could take a lot of effort, let alone five people ;-)
Adventures in Asia! I love that you were a Curacao tee shirt, so people can learn about your amazing island, and I love that you visit all the friends that you knew in NZ and before from Oz. Happy travels!
Thanks Tara!! Yes, most people never heard of Curaçao before and that's why I do it. Meeting many nice people everywhere and be able to catch up with them is one of the greatest things about travelling! :-)

Saying good bye It is great that you got to spend a nice amount of time with your friends but saying goodbye is always hard. It is amazing how you can click with some people and feel like you've known them forever. Our time in Tasmania was short but we loved it and hope to return. Some visas are tough. Good luck. Have fun and keep the blogs coming.
Yeah, I hated saying goodbye because they live so far and I don't know when I'll see them again. I think meeting people and creating friendships is one of the best things about travelling!!
Bon Biní, Bienvenido, Welkom, Welcome, Benvenuto, Wilkommen!
I'm Elton, from the island of Curaçao (Southern Caribbean) where I was born, raised and currently living. I grew up in a local neighbourhood just west of Otrobanda in Willemstad. I speak Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish, English, regular Italian and a little German. Curaçao is a small but unique Island. It's not the typical Caribbean island with just sun and beaches. It has a rich and interesting history and culture. The capital, Willemstad, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Visit Curaçao . com ... full info
