We've had emails and pictures from Pam and Lyn keeping us up to date with your activities in Melbourne...so very nice of them! Elnaz, I would have been terrified too, stuck in the middle of a road during a flood! We are having some sunny, beautiful days now and the snow is starting to shrink. I notice you are having to wear more clothes and we are beginning to be able to take some off. We love you and miss you! Love, Mom
Great new entry, you two! I love the contrast. As I write this, we are having white-out blizzard conditions. Blowing hard. It was -25C yesterday but has warmed up to -18C today. 6 more inches of snow so far and time to think about driving the vehicles to the junction. So glad we don't have anywhere we have to go! I love it. Sydney and I go for walks every day...he loves the snow. Enjoy your sun and bugs! I love you!! Love, Mom
Far North Queensland Thanks for your 'story' and photos.
Good to see and hear that you are enjoying yourselves ... and meeting some of OUR (Australian) animals ... and after we met some of YOUR Bears!
It's about 30 years since we were up at Port Douglas .... but we didn't get to the Daintree or Cap Tribulation...
beautiful! Wow! How did I miss this blog entry?? What a great write-up and great pictures. You guys are sure hitting the amazing spots! Love you both tons. Love, Mom
Glad you are having a good time It is great to view your blog. Wish I could figure out how to do that.
Rick and I just got back from a good trip. Drove across Canada and down the eastern coast then up cenral States. 2 months later we are back home shovelling snow.
Take care and have fun!
Barb and Rick
sand and snow; a comparison Finally get to see your Christmas pictures. Our computer fried and I didn't have your blog address until Dad recovered our hard drive. I'm saving all your pictures. Makes me miss you all the more. Next Christmas ... here?? :) I just finished shoveling our latest 8" of snow this morning. Back steps from the basement...each shovel-full of snow got shoveled about 12 times because the snow bank on each side was too high to throw the snow on top of it, all I could do was shovel it in front of me...and then shovel that pile in front of me again until I got up to the highest step and was able to get it onto the top of the snow bank. We've got about 4 feet of snow in all. WISH YOU WERE HERE!! (Because I miss you so much, of course!) Tons and tons of love, Mom

Wow! I love the parrots! Cool tree, too... speaking of plants, yours are doing well except for one who I'm guessing isn't liking the cooler weather... I have them in the garage where it get warm from the house but it's not as well heated as indoors... I hope they do alright, I don't have room inside for them! Work is going well, and I'm getting over a cough right now - that's about the biggest news from me, lol. I actually had to work late last night, so I guess I'm finally useful now! Looking forward to the long weekend for Remembrance Day, starting tomorrow. Big hugs to both of you and I miss you lots! Can't wait til you're back. Love Mon
Nice to hear from you guys, I'm jealous Thanks for the update. Keep them coming. Great Picks as well. Looks like it beats the hell out of serving the masses down on RObson and Granville on a windy Halloween night. Lot of freaks out there. Keep on enjoying the trip.
Gods Speed,
Mark
