El Eterno Caminante
I'm a wanderer of this amazing earth discovering the bounties it holds. I've been around the world, not as many as some, but more than others and enjoying my life. Well, it's been quite a journey this past year it started going from Vietnam to LA for a week August 2015 to visit a friend to the greatest city in Mexico, Oaxaca where I got the opportunity to see Monte Albon and the AMAZING (let me say again) AMAZING food then a bus ride from Tapachula, Mexico to Panama City (3days) to stay with one of my great friends for a week, then from Carti a multi day trip through the islands of San Blas on to Colombia, which all of you who read my blogs hear me brag over and over about this country. I went to the coast, cartagena where my bag was stolen with most of my clothes and money and down to Medellin where I volunteered for 4 months with no money (try doing that!!!) To finally getting a teaching job in January 2016 in a small city called Ibague and finishing my contract now...pfff quite a year!
Sorry for the long delay...I've been in Vietnam since early March working and saving. I'll get a few weeks break in early September, so I'm going to use it to go back to my favorite SE Asian country, Cambodia and do some more Angkor exploring and get some much needed beach time in Sihanoukville. I'll come back to Vietnam to work until January then headed back to normalcy and the Americas. CAN'T WAIT!
Favorite Country so far: Colombia
Least Favorite: Thailand...(now I'm saying this because of the overabundance of old fat white men who ..well I don't need to go into details..I will admit I haven't seen the entire country so my view may change) ..Vietnam is right up there as well
Most amazing thing I have seen: The Amazon and Angkor Wat
Most amazing thing I've done: Climbed Mt. Maderas on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua
Biggest surprise country (in a good way): Cambodia
Top 5 food countries: #1 Mexico, #2 Colombia, #3 Turkey #4 Uzbekistan #5 Thailand
