Hola!! That's about all I have learned after a weeks spanish lessons!! In Cusco, Peru at the moment. Have been working in a bar the past week while taking spanish lessons. Since the last post, I have been to New Zealand, Chile and now Peru. New Zealand is amazing - scenery in the the South Island is just the best. The North Island is similar to Ireland - lots of farmland and sheep!! Although New Zealand is amazing, it ain't cheap!! Didn't get to see much of Chile. Had only 3 days in Santiago. My time in Peru has been spent in Cusco. This is where the backpackers come to begin their inca trek. I started my trek on the 30th of January - just before the trek closes for February. Inca trek was brillaint. Great ... read more

Hello again. In Hanoi here at the moment but leaving for Laos tonight. Have I think a 15hr bus journey ahead of me tonight. Lovely jubbly! I spent the first day in Hanoi walking around with a girl from the hostel just checking out the sites. Went to a few museums and booked a tour to Sapa (near Chinese border). Sapa is a great place - a must if ever coming to Vietnam. Its almost a 9 hour journey from Hanoi to Lao Cai and a further 30mins on bus to Sapa. I booked a sleeper on the train and so didnt feel the time pass. Spent 2 days here and got to see some great sites and how the local people live their lives. After returning from Sapa, I booked another trip. This time I ... read more
After leaving Ko Tao, I headed for Krabi in need of a rest after the tough scuba diving course! After a few easy days here, I headed for Phi Phi. In Phi Phi I took a boat trip - got to do some snorkelling, kayaking, feed some monkeys (island full of monkeys nearby) and a visit to the Beach (the film!). This all sounds pretty cool but there were a few scary moments along the way. While trying to get to the Beach our boat anchored a short swim away from a cave that led us onto the island. As we swam closer to the cave, we noticed pretty big waves smashing against the rocks! Think we all had some cuts and bruises from hitting the rocks! No health and safety here! In Nam now! Saigon ... read more

Got in some wakeboarding(awesome), archery, scuba diving, learnt to ride a scooter (named Joe!!), Full Moon Parties!!Anyway, after Bangkok I catched an overnight bus and boat journney to Ko Phan Yan - home of the famous Full Moon Party and where I met up with some of the lads and girls from back home. Went to the party with a group from the resort where I was staying (Grand Sea Resort - great place, highly recommend it) and met up with the Letterkenny crew. Had an absolutley brillaint night. After 4 days on Ko Phan Yan it was time to head to Kao Tao (another island beside Ko Phan Yan). Here I ... read more
Well folks, thought I would get this site up and running. Have been keeping myself quite busy. Seen a few temples, done some shopping, lay beside the pool and of course enjoyed the occassional drink! Tough I know! Landed in Bangkok exhausted - I checked in rugsack with sleeping tablets packed inside at Dublin airport. I didnt see the bag again until I arrived in Bangkok! Wolly!! Stayed at the D&D on Kao San Road which is a nice place. Has a pool on the roof of the hotel and offer cheap thai massages - didnt get one yet but it is on the cards! Its a little expensive compare to other places I have heard about but clean and comfy so dont mind to much. The weather for the first day and a half was ... read more
