Eye
You seriously need to suck it up and go on the London Eye. I hate Ferris wheels and it didn’t scare me. And you can see so much up,there. The chances of it breaking while you are up there are relatively low.:)

The Eye
Thanks for being so incredibly interested in the hope for survival of your parents on the Eye. We aren’t afraid to get on it. We mainly just explored today on Hop On, Hop Off and walking. We do have only two more days here and there are a few things I definitely want to do, so we will have to weigh our options.

The place to go for a tea you will never forget
If you have time, duck into afternoon tea at the Brown Hotel. We stayed there once, their afternoon high tea is world famous. Here's the link for you. https://www.roccofortehotels.com/hotels-and-resorts/browns-hotel/restaurants-and-bars/english-tea-room/ It is one of London's oldest hotels.

Our Memorable Walk in London
We had many great walks in London last year (such as Westminster Abbey at night, or Buckingham Place to our hotel by the London Eye on a fall afternoon with the leaves falling). But our favorite was Covent Gardens to Leiscester Square (M&M World store!) to Piccadilly Circus (had dinner there) to Trafalgar Square to Big Ben to our hotel. This is what Kim was referring to on Facebook.

London Fun
We ate the Red Lion Pub near Westminster station for lunch. The restaurant was in the basement, and it was really good. So try and find it.

You picked a great tour company to take this trip
You outdid yourselves on this trip. You picked a great vacation as always. Loved the castle pictures and especially the picture of the castle from the distance. This reminds me of Russia. Really enjoying your blog I have been reading everyday. Stay safe and watch your steps and enjoy to the fullest. Love you both. Lora

East window in Yorkminster

York Minster
Another beautiful cathedral. Are you going to Westminster when you are in London? At the end of this trip, it would interesting to get your observations on all the cathedrals and castles you saw. What would you consider must-sees.

East window in Yorkminster

Going to be hard to do...
I suspect we will see several Cathedrals in London and I am looking forward to it. So far, they have all been spectacular in their own ways. York Minster is different from any of the others we have seen because of the stone it is built in. I think our bus guide said it was Yorkshire stone, but wouldn’t swear to that. At any rate, the color of the stones is a light, creamy color—not stained at all which, to me, makes it look like that huge edifice could almost float up into the air, it really is an amazing building.

Ghosts!
Oh, after writing you about our York ghost tour years ago, I now see that you had one planned as well. I hope nothing cold blew up John's pant leg, ha! Isn't York a totally neat place?

St. Andrews
We were told the “old course” had 22 holes, four of which were washed away and being Scottish, decided to just go with 18.
