Fun!
I've never been to any part of Canada, so I'm very excited to read all about your adventures!

Bon voyage dear neighbors! I will do my best to keep Maggie from disgracing herself on your lawn while you’re away. NOT! Have fun and don’t worry about the little piles accumulating. They’re biodegradable.

Looking forward to "our" trip into Canada. Waiting for the photos.

Be sure Louise Penny joins you in Quebec
I have become a devoted fan of Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache and the small village of Three Pines, which is near the US-Canadian border although it appears on no maps and is out reach of all cell towers. She will make it seem that you have good friends close by in Canada. Don’t eat too much poutine.

Just put one on hold...
Janet, I put the first title in the series on hold from our library. I will let you know how I like it after I read it. Thanks! Patsy

Let’s Go
I am looking forward to seeing Quebec City through your eyes and camera!

Quebec
I have read a series of books by Louise Penny. Re Quebec. I can hardly wait to go see the area. English area library was source of a great book. Go Visit and let me know.

Another friend just recommended the same series and I now have the first one on electronic hold. Thanks!

I have just finished reading your Blog, Pat. Even though we were on the same tour with you and John, it was so nice to see it through your eyes. And read about the things that you saw and did on your free time at our stops, as well as your photos. Love your humour. It was a such a good trip and we enjoyed meeting you both as well as everyone else. Where is the next trip?! Hope to see you in Nashville one day.

What an amazing trip! Thanks for sharing, so glad your home, safe and sound. Love you guys!

I've enjoyed reading about my country...
...almost as much as you seem to have enjoyed it. As one who spent 35 years in the travel industry and toured the world at someone else's expense, I can honestly say that England, Scotland and Wales have more beauty, culture, history and eccentricities(!) than most. I hope that, now you have scratched the surface, we will have the pleasure of seeing you here again for a more in-depth visit. We might even manage to meet - rather than passing each other on the road somewhere near Cardiff!

Thanks!
We certainly did enjoy touring your beautiful country, and it would be wonderful to come back, and as you say, stay in a few places longer and learn and feel more than is possible on a trip with a timed itinerary. Thanks for your interest.

CIE sounds like a good tour company...
You are certainly seeing the highlights very efficiently, and given a good understanding of what you are seeing. I wish I had taken CIE around Italy.

CIE
Bob, I think CIE just does Ireland (where they are based) as well as Scotland and England. Thanks for your kind posts. Just got home and headed for bed!

Moving pictures...
You can load them in any order you want and then rearrange them by holding your cursor on the picture and then moving it to where you want it. Something to know for your next trip.

Posting comments...
It looks like you have that problem licked given the number posted!

So it begins...
I was in Italy when your trip started so I'm just getting caught up with your blog now. I love your writing style...sense of humor! As for wash cloths, I never use one. Not sure why...other than growing up and living overseas most of my life where they were not used.

McDonalds...
I usually eat at McDonalds once on my overseas trips to check on the price of a Big Mac which is used by the Economist magazine to determine purchasing power parity between countries. I also like to see what differences in the menus of each country...part of the cultural experience!

European toilets and bath tubs...
In southern Italy almost every toilet, other than our hotel room, was without a toilet seat. I was going to put toilet paper on the ceramic surface, but discovered no toilet paper. English bath tubs - The morning I was to catch a flight home from Heathrow, I got stuck in the bath tub as it was so deep and I had nothing to push up against. I thought I would miss my flight. Finally, I threw my large towel around the water faucets and pulled my self up.

What a wonderful trip...
You've further inspired my desire to visit Great Britain next year.

M&M Store

Love it!
I love what you did today including Chinatown and of course the m&m store. So much to see in London, you just have to pick a few. St Paul’s is amazing - the current structure is 300 years old, which is mind blowing. Of course compare to The Tower of London or Westminster Abbey, that’s not so old. Hope you have a good, safe travel day!

Come back soon...
...and I'll try to arrange some good weather for you again! Meantime, travel safely and with a smile.

Want to see everything you did today
Well I think we will do everything you did. Loved St Paul’s the tube and Harrods food counter. Didn’t know that there was an M&M store that was very cute. Can’t wait to talk to you both.
