Finally some dessert I like
Well this post was very very good. Loved all the stained glass dome like arch and the windows fabulous. The sunshine and cool temps I am sure was wonderful up there. Terrible hot here you picked the best time to go 95 feels like 105 today. Now to the dessert would have loved that bakery shop you went to after dinner the chocolate shop was fabulous too. I am glad you were able to easily get the tour outside the city and see all those wonderful waterfalls and are having such a fabulous trip. This definitely was a great idea to visit this city. You both are very savvy when it comes to travel and doing different city centers. I am looking forward to more adventures on this blog. Hugs, Lora (dessert queen).

Vicariously traveling............
We are so thrilled that you are on a ‘blogable’ adventure! It seems like such a long time since we could enjoy your sense of humor via a destination review. I could feel your pain in walking up and down so much I felt I had to lay down to rest. Fortunately it is bedtime. ?

Betty...glad you are enjoying the blog and glad you could go straight to bed and rest after reading it!

Sunny day view from our room. Price Edifice on left. Frontenac Hotel on right.

What a great day of walking and seeing very old, cool, stuff. A couple of comments: Pat, sandals, really? Kim and I both have to get nice tennis shoes for our high walking days. Kim swears by her Hokas. John, I checked the Fitbit app. You need to sync so we can track your step count. Anything under 20,000 steps is for light weights. Hope you keep having nice weather!

Yes, sandals really...
Mike...they are ECCO walking sandals and they are doing a great job. I actually have trouble breathing when I wear regular shoes when it is hot weather. Really. John says he is syncing as we speak. He is complaining that he was carrying a bag with our extra stuff in it yesterday so his arm didn’t swing as much, and he didn’t get as big a count as I did... Big baby... Just saying... He said it felt like he did 30,000 step but he only did 10,000+ according to the Fitbit.

Loved all pictures
I loved all the pictures and they do look familiar to me I was there in 1999. Loved the Fresco and your Italian meal. The streets are beautiful glad you have nice weather. I am sure you will stubble upon some dessert before your trip is done. French love desserts more than me and that is a lot. Rest up for your climbing tomorrow. Have fun.

Welcome to Canada
Glad that you made it to the beautiful city of Old Quebec! Love that City! Looks like you had a busy day yesterday and fit a lot in. If you are thinking of taking a tour, I think you would like the one that goes to lle d’ Orleans. It’s a small island near by. They take you around and stop at some farms that make, wine, jams, cheese, maple syrup. It’s a very nice tour. Looking forward to seeing more photos and hearing about your time there.

No Dessert Picture whats UP with that?????
I am glad you both got there safely with little fuss or muss through Chicago I know from first hand experience all about that airport. Well I am trilled by your hotel location and seeing that big hotel in the distance I am sure you will over their to tour it sometime this week. I was hoping that I could see that Strawberry delight on cake by a picture. I know you will be walking by some French pastry shops in the Old City so if you see a window display please take a picture of anything that looks good (ie. everything looks good in a bakery). Looking forward to your blog immensely. Hugs, Lora and Uber driver David

Lora...looked again and I did not put picture of dessert into blog. I had slow WiFi so that one did not make the cut. I will try harder!

Great View
You do have a great view from your window! One fun thing about traveling is trying new restaurants. Glad you made it safely and timely (though Mike is not a fun of rushing through airports).

Looks Beautiful
I loved all of your pictures. Your place for dinner had outside patios...that is where we could take Sheeba! Glad you made it there safely. We have just been taking it easy in Colorado and haven't had anything to blog about. I will get something out soon. Meanwhile, we will look forward to hearing about your travels!

Have fun, you crazy kids.....
Enjoy Canada and be sure to send lots of pics. Have lots of fun and learn a few French words along the way. We will be following.....

You will love Quebec City...
We were there on Canada Day a few years ago, but didn't see any Canadian flags; only Quebec flags. Definitely a French feel.

We just arrived and have a fantabulous city view! Yay us!

On hold?
Oh my dear. Too late. You need ‘Still Life’ while you travel in Quebec. There is a Kindle version. Meanwhile, have a look at this article by a member of my Drake faculty: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/all-is-well/201906/how-my-louise-penny-tour-helped-soothe-my-anxious-spirit
