Sinful Cabbage Rolls

Sinful Cabbage Rolls
There's no such thing! All the food here looks amazing. Love the sound of Armenia and those small caucasus nations. I love the former Soviet Union nations and their turbulent past... Keep these blogs coming.

Sinful Cabbage Rolls
Armenia is moving up on the food scene. These...well ... just amazing. Yes these nations come from a turbulent past. The Armenians were nearly wiped out. Sad times. Thanks again for commenting.

Food extreme
It's seems as if your reference in your last blog about Tajikistan not being a destination for foodies has been juxtaposed by this blog... I am salivating as I write these comments... What choice do I have at this exact moment? Hmmm another coffee perhaps? A cookie? That lasagne looks amazing.

Food extreme
These countries are the ying and yang of food. That was one of the considerations when deciding where to go after the road less traveled. Northern Italy is lovely. The lasagna was truly the best either of us have had in a lifetime. Worth the trip to Bologna. Thanks for continuing to read and comment.

Potholes
Love it! Great account of a great journey. There is something truly human about your blog - the sleeping on the floor in the care of local hospitality with simple foods. I always find that the more potholes a road has the more friendly the folks are at the end of it. Great catching up with your adventures after a month of no internet... A great way to spend my time at Nuuk airport, Greenland.

Potholes
You are very philosophical today.... I've never thought of the link between potholes and friendliness. Will have to consider that but on first glance I believe you are correct. MJ

Bologna Collanade

A project for the future
It would actually be fun to there and make a thematic blog with only porticoes. Well, won't happen in the next five years at least. Have too many other projects going on. /Ake

Oh Italia
My poor heart and stomach. They both yearn to return to Italy and your blog hasn't made things any easier :) I love the sound of the Emilia-Romagna region, even if only for that Parma farm and cooking class experience - it sounds like so much fun. What amazing food experiences you keep having! And with regards to all those times you were so happy to go home and take your pants off...surely, that's begging for a joke about 'happy ending'? ;)

Oh Italia
Oh Ren... this is your kind of place. Hopefully you will get back there sooner than later. We wish we'd stayed longer in La Morra even though it is a small, small village. Parma was wonderful and I hope you'll get to the farm for the cooking class. We knew jokes would come about needing to take our pants off... it is not good being that full but who can say no to those wonderful platters of food. Thanks for your comments.

Narish accepted Tara's scarf

Tara
I truly believe Tara's spirit lives on and hope that somehow she was able to look down on you guys and enjoy the Tajikistan trip. You guys were very fortunate to attend such a cool "locals" festival.

Tara
Yes, I do think Tara is smiling. Alan, you can visit this festival and is well worth the effort. I think it is the 2nd weekend in August each year. Happy travels and think you for continuing to following. We appreciate your kind words.

What a great Italian adventure!
Loved the blog! And it was such a pleasure to, once again, visit the Cinque Terre with you both. Lots of travel is definitely the way to go in this life. Keep up the good work!

Wow!
This has been quite the trip Binkleys! I just finished reading your "Stan" blogs and found you had jetted off to Italy and now Armenia. Very interesting place. It's never been on my radar, until now.

Wow!
This has been an interesting collection of countries to visit. Armenia has so much to offer. Really far more interesting than we ever expected. A history of struggles and yet they continue on with pride. You'll have to give it some consideration. Thanks for following along.
