Arrived in London at 5am I had a bloody marry for breakfast on the plane. I made my way to the train station and caught the express to Paddington Station and waiting to meet Steph. Purchased my first Oyster card for the public transport and went to Steph's house in near Bethnal Green Station. Steph took me for a walk around the area so I was familiar with what was around her place. Sleepiness hit me early for the first few nights. Steph showed me through local markets around the place took me to primark to get some jumpers and to the westfield and had dinner at Jamie's Italian. I joined some of the people that where going on the same contiki tour I was doing through Europe for some tours throughout London before contiki journey ... read more

Oceania » New Zealand » North Island » Rotorua September 19th 2011

The Waitomo Caves were great. We absailed, crawled through small gaps in the cave walls, went through the rapids on tire tubes and rock climbed out. After finishing there we drove to Rotorua and stayed at the xbase carpark stocking up the van again at the supermarket. The next day we went to the Luges. I beleive they are the best thing ever to do my mate and I got pretty competitive at trying to race down the hill. One of the races I managed to get passed him then he snuck passed on another corner I couldn't get the speed back to get around him so on the last corner I decided leave the breaking really late. I T-boned him into the wall he fell off into the grass and I flip my kart to ... read more

We left Whangarei and headed for Orewa. We decided to pass through Dargaville on the west coast because it was a mates home town who was playing rugby with us in Australia at the time. The radio told us about a huge museum that we stopped at which was great. Spent a night at Sandspit before getting to orewa where we spent anoter two nights. Passed a hot spring on the way and went for a swim. The Australia vs Ireland game was in Auckland and we caught a bus to and from the stadium. The result wasn't what we wanted. An Irish bloke we met in Orewa the first time we were at the local surf club loved it so the next time we saw him he had the biggest grin. His girlfriend was Australian ... read more

We left Cape Reinga and drove Whangarei hoping to get tickets to the Tonga vs Canada game. We arrived and parked in the information centre car park and decided to stay there for the night because it was walking distance to the stadium. Tickets to the game had sold out so we decided to walk to the stadium hoping to scalp some tickets. We got lucky and managed to scalp some tickets. As we walked to the gate number on the tickets we noticed the tickets also said 'Corporate'. Thinking that we had been fleeced we walked in waiting for security to tackle us. A lady showed us to an elevator then we were guided to a door and after sitting in our seats we had realised the we had just scored the best seats in ... read more
