Departing Townsville and landing in Auckland at midnight the night before we arrived Orewa Beach with our van and pulled into the first caravan park we saw on the beach and booked a spot for two night.
We spent the first night down the local surf club meeting the friendly locals behind the bar and others touring around to watch the rugby.
On the 11th we explored Orewa stocked up the van and prepared for Aus vs Italy at North Harbour Stadium. 32 - 6.
The next game was in Auckland and we had a week to cruise around so we planned our trip to with a goal to make it to the tip and back.
