2011 Rugby World Cup New Zealand adventure Aus vs Ireland - Orewa

We left Whangarei and headed for Orewa. We decided to pass through Dargaville on the west coast because it was a mates home town who was playing rugby with us in Australia at the time. The radio told us about a huge museum that we stopped at which was great. Spent a night at Sandspit before getting to orewa where we spent anoter two nights. Passed a hot spring on the way and went for a swim.

The Australia vs Ireland game was in Auckland and we caught a bus to and from the stadium. The result wasn't what we wanted. An Irish bloke we met in Orewa the first time we were at the local surf club loved it so the next time we saw him he had the biggest grin. His girlfriend was Australian so we caught up with them again in Wellington for the Australia vs USA game.

We now had a week to drive to Wellington so we planned our trip to get to Hamilton hopefully catch the Wales vs Samoa game and Rotorua and then get to Wellington.
