More underwear!
Sheez - you weren't kidding about the frost INSIDE the caravan. Have you found the sheepskin undies? Great photos Chris - especially the fresh seafood, torture for those of us living hours away from the ocean.

not going south
you have certainly made a decision for me....not going south in winter. The photos are A1 as is the writing. Keep the reports coming. Beautiful warm sunny days here & no wind. By the way 'Thanks for the gift you left me', Vicks,Panadol & Tissues are my constant companions & so far not really helping, The Orchid is beautiful but the Flu is not. Keep traveling safe. Hello to Shirley & Dave.

Camera vs phone
I have been using my camera mostly Carol. It is a Panasocia Lumix DMC-TZ15. A gift from Graham a couple of years ago. I still find I move the phone too much, though I have managed a couple of good photos from there. Cheers, ChrisB

G'day
Your trip sounds great and I am loving your photos, particularly the "Banksia Glasshouse Mountains" Are you using your phone for these? Enjoy yourselves and stay safe and warm. I must say I didn't really envy those very frosty, invasive mornings.

Uh Oh! I'm in trouble
Now my Son & 2 Grandsons know my secret about the Lady Gaga Concert. I was only paying them back for their colored language quip which took 3 days for me to work out thanks to Christine, but then - I'm a lady !!!!!!!

Re;gallivanting in Qld
Hi Chris and Graham, thanks for blog sounds like you are having a wonderful time and the photos are great. Seems a lengthy trip is the best way to find out what works and what you really need whilst away so all set for your next adventures. Barbara and Robert look very well and their home is beautiful. Keep the news coming and have a marvellous time, will see you back in SA (if you can drag yourselves away), not much rain but very cold here. Cheers Lynley and Hedley

Greetings from Home
Sounds fun so far. Ah, your mention of Nevertire stirred many a memory. One of my very favourite town names, it says so much. It's probably fourteen years since I was last there. The town was look quite prosperous but I don't think they were into cotton then. Could be wrong of course. Was your bed comfy? Stay safe and travel well.

Names
The names of the towns and everything are really wonderful. I am often trying to pronounce them out loud, rolling them around to try and get them right and yes Nevertire is one of the great ones. Our bed was comfortable and the van is working out fine, but we need to do the shakedown bit - rearrange everything so that it is in the most convenient place. I think I remember that the party is saturday, hope it all goes fine. Cheers ChrisB

Looks like fun.
All sounds great and you obviously made very good time. The photos are all great. Did you just drive virtually straight through and not look at the sights. Isn't it supposed to be the dry season up there. Blow some of that rain over our way. Did Brutus 111 cope with the trip ok. Looking forward to the next installment.

Brutus's Health
He did very well all the way, and yes we did just drive straight through. Now he is resting on the lawn with a very sore clutch because it got quite a battering when Robbie was trying to back the van in to the side of the house. Needless to say it is still not there. Off the the Brisbane Caravan and Camping show today. Sitting looking out onto the canel. This house is really magnificent. I will take lots of photos and post them before we leave queensland.

Brutus lives!
Good grief. I wonder if Gukka Charvey still lives (last heard of all restored in WA)

Dont get lost.
Brinky to East of Wilcannia a comfortable run for day 1. Where are you coming onto the Princes Hwy or M1 to come up towards the Sunshine Coast?? Take exit 152 for Bribie coming north. Keep in touch the day before so I can be home to film the reversing into the driveway. It is still very cool, some rain & cold wind up here for this time of year, not just here but right up the coastal tourist spots to the tropics. I'll sign off correctly this time - I am Silver Kestrel No1

Avoiding Brisbane
We want to avoid Brisbane so have decided to make our way through Daulby. Hopefully our mobile will be working and we have wireless internet as well. Should be in intermittent touch. BTW, you may be doing the backing!!

Brutus 1
I saw the original Brutus in town the other day - still going strong! Has another satisfied owner who goes bush. I wonder if he has trouble keeping Brutus on the road when they come to the old bush two-up track?

Very Swish!
All looks fabulous. My tickets in the next deaf lottery came today so if I win we will be on the road today. It's like summer here - 25 degrees today. We need some rain and soon.
29th May 2012

Nice of Rudi to make the trip to fix the leak. Everything looks well thought out & in it\'s place. Should be a trouble free trip, only hope our weather has settled down for U, totally awful right now, more like south WA early winter temps & cold strong wind. Wish we were on the road up north, although rain & coastal winds are spoiling things up there as well. Looking forward to your arrival.
29th May 2012

When is the off?
Sounds like it is all coming togther nicely. When do you hit the road?
30th May 2012

Champing at the bit
We are heading off first thing on Saturday morning. I have a meeting at 5:30pm on Friday evening, last things into the van, get up put the Eco Pot stew on to start, shower, breakfast and hit the road. Graham (or GMan as he is known now) hopes to get some where between Broken Hill and Willcannia for overnighting. BUT not too close to Wilcannia.
