Bolarks' Guestbook

3rd August 2013

Hello, your back again
You have managed to find some very interesting places to wander through. We are amazed at the Gnome Haven. The Van will be ready for anything & more with all the new bits & pieces adorning it. We are exhausted by our babysitting activities & Craig & Rochelle only left for Europe today. We can't seem to get our head around the comings & goings of these three kids. Will keep in touch. B&R

Family catchup
Sounds like a good catch up it seems these days it is always at a funeral (age related I think). Would I be correct in assuming that Sienna is a tomboy and Charlie is a princess They have certainly grown. Enjoy your time with them travel safe.

Tomboy
Actually it is the other way around. Sienna is the one who is more interested in how she looks and is more girly. Even though Charlie loves to dress up in Princess outfits she is the tomboy. She has already been though a car stage, we wait with baited breathe for the next phase.

Bet you guys had a great time with the family, the grandkids have certainly grown. It is cold and wet here, I am so sick of this weather, but on the up side the crops are looking fantastic.

Dower in
Love the tin dog. Dower in is where Rob spent so much of his school holidays on the Windsor properties. Those properties have now been bough (years ago) by would you believe the Hollins family who are or we're our neighbours back in Charleson St. The properties were amalgated to the Hollins holdings and are now under the management of eldest son Jarrod. One of Robs cousins still lives in Dowerin in the town. Our ex neighbours leave us today for their relatives in Brissy. For the next week. We have had a fab time catching up but boy are we exhausted. I am not in good shape to tackle the San Diego Trip on Monday, the neck is a horrid problem & the chest is re-surfacing. Enjoy your time with Jill & Richard. Nice photo of Lyn & Coco. The little Italian Prince looks kinda cute !!!!!!!

Nice clean foot!
Sienna is a better photographer than some adults. Is Judy your twin? Have you got a photo of her? One of my sister's and a cousin also have their birthday on the 31st July. All ok here, had rain, couple of lovely days, more rain on the way. All I can think is... great for the garden and a slightly longer, hot shower!

Twins
No we are not twins, there are 5 or 6 years between us. I don't think I have a photo of her at the moment, I shall snap one when I see her when I return to Perth next.

Not Lost
found this posting again. It had been inadvertently (Robbie fingers) deleted from iPhones, my IPad & the computer, but R's IPad is never used so when turned on today everything loaded including the missing blog. Two of my favorite scenes on the Nullabor, Eucla Pass & Madura Pass. Nice photos, my driver never slows down enough for my poor old Nikon to do it's work. I had of course seen your photos before but hadn't commented on them. When I went back in to do so........zapped by zappy fingers combined with his habit of no specs on which he doesn't know what he is zapping. You of course will enlarge the photo of Frey for your passage wall ???? It's a great painting.

Yippeeee
I was so pleased to have another blog to read with my porridge this morning. We've never heard about Baladjie Rock? Wish we had 'got out there' years ago. You & Shirley have given me new ideas on future trips. Notice I said 'me'. The other half will have raised eyebrows when I make my suggestions about downsizing the Tug & Rig. Loved the interesting travels & photos again Chris. Is red hat town a new idea or something historical?

Red Hat Town
Shirley found out about it.... Red Hat Society Natch I Googled it. Probably to do with the Red Hat Society WA - initially set up in the US as a social network for women over 50 but now all ages and many countries

Not going back to WA because too expensive?
I wonder what they were buying - illicit drugs? Where were they from - Nunawading? With the exception of the mining towns (Port Hedland and Newman) our experience was that Caravan Parks were on average no different to anywhere else, nor were the supermarkets or the fuel prices: some higher, some lower, but nothing peculiar to WA. Higher prices were to be found in remote areas in all states.

Red hat town?
Why is Mukinbudin a red hat town? $38 for a powered site is a bit much - Dave thinks we averaged mid to high twenties except in high occupancy mining towns. Norseman seemed very dead when we passed through, so they wouldn't have that excuse.

Red Hat Town
I read all the documentation around the monument and it didn't say, guess I had to just know....

Wander Lust
Enjoyed reading about your travels, would love to do a trip like that but the other half's idea of camping and roughing it is a **** Motel. I will have to be content to dream. Happy travels

I don't know!
I'm pretty sure this is some form of harvester. Could be for oats, wheat, barley, lupins or anything else. Looks pretty old though
