After our fourth (and hopefully last) night bus we arrived in the beach resort of Nha Trang - 12 hours south of Hanoi. Our plans for lazing on the beach were soon ended as we arrived in a torrential downpour - Nha Trang seemingly wasn't aware it was meant to be the 'dry' season! so instead we turned our attention to the local speciality of 'mud' and spent the afternoon wallowing in mud baths and hot springs. Unfortunately for me, we also found time for a haircut and I left Nha Trang with significantly less hair than when I arrived and a need to wear a hat for the next week until my wedge grew out. After Saigon, we took a 5 hour bus ride north to the coast of Vietnam. We will stay on the coast for the next 2 weeks until we arrive in northern Vietnam- where we will fly down to Bangkok. The Coast is full of beautiful beaches along the South China Sea. Our first stop was a tiny little town called Mui Ne. Mui Ne is generally a fishing village, where locals float in small wooden boats shaped like cereal bowls. They all awake at about 530am to put their nets out into the water, and then around 8am they are on the streets selling their fresh catch.
