Hi everyone,

Was wondering if anyone can please suggest some travel blogs of people that are traveling with kids in Vietnam?

I will be bringing an 8 month old and an 9 year old at the end of the year, so any suggestions would be very very helpful.

Thanks. : ) Reply to this

Thanks so much. Will have a think and then get back to you. Still in the early stages of planning so more looking for an idea of hotels... what is good to do ect.. Thought that a blog would be helpful as then I could gather my questions instead of being so generic.

Thanks for your reply. : ) Reply to this

Hi,

We haven't been to Vietnam yet with our kids, BUT, we will be there May/June time with our 2 and 1 year old. We will be blogging it no doubt so keep an eye out around that time. 😊

We've been there before so not sure how much sight seeing we'll be doing, more just hanging out enjoying the family time, but I can give you a better idea of how we fared accommodation and food wise. Thankfully my two aren't all that fussy and put up with whatever come their way and we're also on a budget so we won't be staying in any high end places...

Food is way easier in vietnam these days than what it was 10-15 years ago. You'll have no problems.

For accomodation, Vietnam is the paradise of the mini-hotel. They are everywhere, and cost anything from 10usd to 50usd a night...with a huge choice in the 20-35usd range.

For activities...well, it's all depend if you speak cities, beaches or nature...just make sure you get some solid mosquito repelent! Reply to this

Sofia and I travelled through some of the main areas in Vietnam a few years ago....HCMC, Hue, Sagon, Ha Long Bay and many cool day trips.. Definitely recommend chekcing our her blogs. It was an amazing trip. Definitely get Angkor Wat in it as wll. SOfia was 3 years old when we went and ahad a blast.

Siem Reap(Temples of Angkor)/Cambodia

fore some reasons all 6 from this trip had same number, so just go from this one and move down

Hi,

When you book hotel, the child 9 yrs need to add an extra bed and the child 8 months old always free.
If you join any tours, the child 9 yrs will be charged as 50- 70 % per adult.
Food is so easy in Vietnam.
Hotel cost is 35- 50 usd/ room/ night for 3 star hotel in Hanoi. In Ho Chi Minh 30-50usd/R/N ( 3 star hotel). In Hue, Hoi An 30- 50 usd/R/N ( 3 star hotel).

Nice trip! Reply to this

I am in Vietnam. It is no problem for travel in Vietnam with baby and children.
You should travel from North to South or vice versa
Ha Noi - Halong - Sa Pa - Hue - Hoi An - My Son - Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh - Mekong delta
You can ask me any information Reply to this

Hi, We're about to travel through Vietnam with our two kids ( aged 2 and 4) later this month. You're welcome to follow our blog, as we post our travel tales once a week... And I can already tell you what and where we've booked, if you haven't made all your reservations yet. Might also be interesting to compare planning notes! Reply to this

Hi,
Though this post is old and your baby is +4 now, but, i would like to suggest some advise for traveling to Vietnam with children. Some cities have good facilities for children like Hanoi, the capital, Halong bay cruises all have safety jacket and good security for the babies / children as well.
i have written a blog: http://vietnameseprivatetours.blogspot.com/2014/11/travel-to-vietnam-with-your-family.html?q=travel+vietnam+kids it might be useful.

however, make sure of vaccination before coming to Vietnam.

Hello everyone, I agree with all of you of not having an issue or a problem travelling with kids in Vietnam. Vietnam is a safe place. From their people and their places, has a lot to offer and still evokes very recent memories and its labyrinth of adventure together with this mystique is a country which attracts visitors from all over the world.

Its recent history offers a great amount of interest and its stunning natural beauty is truly breath-taking! Reply to this
