We got up early and had some breakfast before taking the 8 o clock boat back to Ranong. Here we took a bus at 10:30 to Bangkok. We got some really good seats in front of the bus with a lot of space for our long legs. We arrived around 10 in the evening. We ended up driving with a really nice taxi driver back to Kao Sahn, he 'saved' us from som other taxi drivers who tried to take overprice.
We couldnt get a room at our old hotel, so we booked it for the next night and stayed at budget guesthouse for the night, for 400 bath. We went out for a beer and met some guys Pé and A who had a t-shirt shop next to the bar, and we ended up drinking with them most of the night.
Next day we moved over to Kao Sahn Palace. We had breakfast and then took a taxi to MBK and bought our last presents for people at home. We went back and had some thai food for lunch and then we went to the pool. After a shower we went to the internet and talked to friends/family
at home.
We had some cheap thai food for dinner, 35 B per person. We went out for beer again - Khao San makes you an alcoholic!
The next day we went to the weekend market, I tried looking for longan fruits for my sister but I couldn't find any. After a long day there we went home for a quick swim in the pool. We had thai food again (50 B), but this time we had chairs and a table - what luxury.
I found some dragon fruits for my sister, even though they werent longans at least she could have a bit of Thai fruit. We tried a fish spa which was not worth the money, it is not that nice, but kind of fun to try. We met Sofie and Rebekka that we had met in Koh Tao and had some beer with them.
The next day we went to see Grand Palace, I had already been there, but I wanted to show it to Stefanie. It was just as impressive as i remembered it. Very beautiful and the small details are incredible. It must have taken years to finnish.
We went
for a quick evening swim when we returned, it is really nice to have the pool when you walk around in the hot sun all day with no wind in the streets. We had a shower and pad thai for dinner. Then we got our tattoos that we had planned for a long time. It was Stefanies first tattoo, and even though it was right on the ribs she was much cooler than me. When she was done mine was still being drawn on me with marker.
After this we had some dinner and Stefanie bought her last presents. Then I went with Pé who was going to tattoo my foot, it was kind of strange cause it was a small tattoo but all of my leg was asleep afterwards so I couldn't move it. But the tatto was really beautiful so it was all worth it! Next morning: Up and to the airport and Denmark - home to the cold.
