So yes, I kind of fell off the Earth in the writing sense for a little while there. I'm back! Welcome me! (Kidding.) For my new blog of 2007 I have made some new decisions that I hope to stick to (no matter how hard they are). I've decided that it would be better for me to keep my life with Cam out of this page. Last weekend we (Jonathon, Jeremia, Tyler, and I) worked together on making a movie for the talent show. We spent a large part of Saturday with a sweet girl named Chanel, who took us on a long long journey to find the only costume place in Dalian. Besides getting that done, I was also an MC (Master of Ceremony) for this important, new student welcoming event. My schedule was not very organized and it was hard to decide which was more important - attending MC practices, going to work at teaching english to a class of 7-8 year olds, attending a going-away-to-america party for one of my best friends, or attending school. I'd never taught seriously before I came here, and it has certainly presented me with new challenges which I did not expect to face. There's something about waking up at 5 in the morning to take a walk around the neighborhood. It's quiet, peaceful; a sign of a beautiful day to come. The first sign of peace in the daylight. It's too early to hear the dying yells from the man on the bike that cycles by my window every morning. It's too early to hear the firecrackers going off, or loud jets tearing through the sky. It's before the banging of street pails and before the fryers are heated. As I walk along the brick sidewalks in the fresh, cool morning air, I imagine that the neighborhood is letting out a quiet yawn. Well first off I feel sort of torn. On the one hand yesterday was the first day ever for me to kiss Camillo and he has started to accept it as a given fact. We also accepted the fact that we both equally like each other (finally!). But on the other hand yesterday he once again told me that he wants to try to be with a Chinese woman before he tries to really be with me. There's a couple things about this. Mainly I feel that it's a good idea if he wants to do it and that if it's something that needs to be done it needs to be done.
