Travelblog Office Christmas PartyOceania » New ZealandTopic Type: Chat | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
For us travelling types Travelblog is very much our office. It's where we submit our travel reports and spend much more time than we'd really like to. With this in mind I was wondering if any of my colleagues (that means you) who may be in the Auckland (NZ) area over the festive period would consider joining us for an office Christmas party? (ie. does anyone fancy meeting for a drink sometime in December). | 44 Replies: « back 1 2 3 next » | Occasionally Bob Bob & Vik Post Count: 159 Msg: #1 755 days ago, November 1st 2007 | (Added by Admin) | Auckland, New Zealand - contact Occasionally Bob - Saturday 22nd December Shakespeare Brewery and Hotel (61 Albert Street, Auckland) at 7:30pm on Saturday 22nd December Also happened - see the post on page 3 Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand - contact twotravelbugs Newcastle, Australia - contact John and Sylvia Rio De Janeiro, Brazil - Wednesday 19th December - contact Ali Devassa Bar, Ipanema - 6pm - Rua Prudente de Morais 416 - on the corner of Rua Farme de Amoedo Happened - nice little gathering with 4 bloggers - more soon London, England - contact Administration Calgary, Canada - contact tannismc Buenos Aires, Argentina - contact pseudo sic Click the "private message" button and please give dates that you'll be passing through. === original post from Bob and Vik ==== I promise not to get naked on the photocopier and the stationary cupboard will be locked. Obviously everyone loves seeing their boss get tipsy at the Christmas party, so Ali, if you're in the New Zealand area, you're more than welcome. If you're interested, let me know and we can arrange a time & place... It must be "in the stars" because I was working in my garden this morning and had the same idea. The only difference is - I am in Australia. | If anyone will be in the Sydney region during December, lets arrange a Xmas party for all the Travelblog people. I would be happy to organise it if enough people were interested. Send me an email if you would like to be party to this. I live near Newcastle - about 2 hours north of Sydney - but there is plenty of accommodation locally. Check out my blog if you want more info - or send me an email. I'll put this on the front page and on the log in page so nearly everyone will see it. | If it's only a few attendees - then it will be easy to organise; just a bar, or table at a restaurant - if it gets popular it will need more organising. It's only a short train ride to London from here. It would be nice to meet up with some travelbloggers before I return to Africa in January. I've only been back in Blighty since July but I've told the debt collection agency where I'm working that I will be leaving at the end of December. | tannismc Tannis McCartney Post Count: 87 Msg: #9 739 days ago, November 18th 2007 | Anyone else in Calgary? The festive season is building just nicely. | Anyway... Saturday 22nd of December is the day we've earmarked for a little Auckland Travelblog soiree, though the venue is yet to be identified. If you are in or around Auckland on that date feel free to join us. kandc - building a fireplace just before the big man's due to arrive is clever thinking...
