For us travelling types Travelblog is very much our office. It's where we submit our travel reports and spend much more time than we'd really like to. With this in mind I was wondering if any of my colleagues (that means you) who may be in the Auckland (NZ) area over the festive period would consider joining us for an office Christmas party? (ie. does anyone fancy meeting for a drink sometime in December).
i loveeee the idea. it could be a really intresting way to meet a real bunch of intresting people. is it open to all travel bloggers. it should be.
if it is let me know about a party in BUENOS AIRES argentina.
Reply to this Hi! If anyone's passing through Strasbourg I'd love to catch up for an "Office Party" drink!
Reply to this Hey travelbloggers!
What a fantastic idea...I can't manage the "Office Christmas Party" as some people have to work, but I'm definitely up for a traditional Scottish Hogmanay Party at The "Illicit Still Pub" in Broad Street, Aberdeen. After stocking up on copious amounts of alcohol purely to keep out the winter chill you understand,we are moving on to the main square at the Castlegate for the free New Year's Eve concert headlined by Travis. If you are in the area it would be good to see you, get in touch and come on down!
Reply to this Now, that's a good idea...
Anyone up for a cheese splurge in the Swiss Alps (Crans Montana?)

Reply to this Hey Mike... not sure I'll be in NYC on New Years, I'll know closer to the end of the month.
Everyone - still willing to meet up some other time this month in NYC...
Reply to this Dear Travelbloggers,
The response to our Christmas Party idea has been overwhelmingly positive. So positive infact that I'd have to book a very large venue to accommodate everyone... if we were all in the same country that is... and even then we'd all have to be in the same city/town.
Flung to the four corners of the earth, us Travelbloggers are, by nature of our passion for seeing the globe, spread as wide and thin as a single sachet of ketchup on a giant burger bun... (sorry - getting distracted - I haven't had my dinner yet).
Anyway, to all those who can make it - me and Vik and one or two other Travelbloggers will be in the bar at the Shakespeare Brewery and Hotel (61 Albert Street, Auckland) at 7:30pm on Saturday 22nd December (this Saturday). If you fancy swapping travel tales or even just want to chat about the things normal people do - not sure what that would be - but please feel free to join us. You can find us by looking for me, the tall guy who looks like he's been wearing the same clothes for the last 18 months. The bar is fairly small with an entrance on either side, so you can walk straight through the bar and out the other side if you think we look a bit weird - no-one need ever know.
To all of you that can't make it - me and Vik would like to extend seasonal greetings and offer you a drink from Travelblog's virtual bar. The cocktails are to die for , but I'd stay away from the Occasionally Bob home brew.
Merry Christmas,
Bob & Vik.
Reply to this Hi anyone around Varanasi or Delhi, India for Christmas?!

Reply to this Hi London folks,
I have had only 3 people contact me. Any more takers? I can arrange a date now but it will have to be in early January as I am not in London for Christmas and New Year. Maybe the 3rd or 4th. Unless - you guys would like to meet anyway without me. Post here and contact me if you're interested.
