It was fantastic to see them my sexy little sister and fantabulous friend, it was great to have someone come out to see you, we'd been away for 9 months by this point, so it was quite emotional to see them!! We arrived in Kota Kinabulu, the capital of Sabah province of Borneo. It really is a cool vibrant little city, although it was more expensive than other countries in S.E. Asia. Having said that, you can travel on a budget here, if you live like the locals do and eat in the

... read moreHey Bro, Kiora, Hope your all well and welcome to New Zealand. Heres a little bit about the place before we get to our adventures!!! It is estimated the Maori inhabited New Zealand around 800AD. Around eight hundred years later the Western world discovered New Zealand. In 1642, in a bid to locate the mysterious, rich land Australia, the Dutch Explorer, Abel Tasman caught sight of the West Coast of the South Island. The First European to set foot on New Zealand soil was Captain James Cook of England, in 1769. He also made the first, but inaccurate map of the country. . There are also abundant native forests, long, deserted beaches and a variety of fauna, such as the kiwi, endemic to its shores. Its a long country split into two Islands- North and South.

We spent our first night in a really nice Hotel in a LUXURY (for us anyway) room paid for by Global Village Travel who use our blog as advertisement and booked our trip for us. We were well chuffed and took full advantage! After this we made our way to our fave place to stay in Bangkok- Four sons Village on Soi Rambuttri walking distance from Koh San but a bit cooler and quieter after midnight. We got our preferred room a balcony one on the thrid floor with air-con for 400b a night bargain! If i'm honest we spent our time here getting warm, chilling out, eating,

... read moreHi all, We are slow at this but that’s due to really bad internet connections, or the complete lack of an internet cafe!!! But the blogs will be coming fast and furiously for a while now!! Due to our over indulgence of the Islands and having to stay in Bangkok for 2 weeks, with the visa run to Cambodia and waiting for our visa to be processed for Vietnam and India, we were running seriously short on time to travel through the north of Thailand, Laos and Vietnam! In total we only had about 3 weeks to do these two countries!!!! So here is the shorter edited version of the trip we SHOULD have taken........ We crossed the river to the border town in Laos by long boat. We were really sorry to leave Thailand. We

Onwards from Koh Tao, and on a mission to Bangkok for a visa which runs out in 4 days from leaving the Islands! Just so you know, all the Chiang Mai photo's are at the end of the photo log so perservere as theres loads to look at! Basically, we spent too long chilling out down south! We got up on a hot, bright, sunny day; with a cool breeze blowing in off the sea. Dirk and the instructors were taking some guys out diving, and it was looking like another lovely day in Koh Tao. Me and Claire were sad to leave. We got our packs on and bummed a lift off Nan
... read moreWelcome to the South of Thailand and specifically the three Islands Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and their lesser known counterpart Koh Tao. We spent time on all of these Islands and they are breathtaking! I have to say we love Thailand, the people, the food, the views and the prices!!! We'll start our tale from arrival aboard a Bangkok airways flight from Hong Kong. I swear the flight was great. Half empty, so we had three seats each to stretch out on. You also get fed and watered non-stop. The crew are great! Anyway we flew in low over the tropical island of Koh Samui to its small airport. We were then driven to a mid sized hut which is the terminal building and immigration! We got in just in time as it started to bucket

We have re-done everything so feel free to start at the beginning and read through, thanks for being patient with us and hop you enjoy the blog!!!) I'm gonna be honest with youse. We planned to do loads of stuff over the week, like the peak walk, Junk boat trip in the bay, maybe bimble down to Happy Valley race course and stuff. What we actually did was sleep as much as possible, and watch the entire first series of 'heroes' on dvd (it cost me pennies!). But we did manage to catch up on the blog! Japan is nearly done, as i write this, so
