Hey All, Well on Wednesday we decided to head up to the Surfers Paradise that is Bondi Beach. It's not so far from Sydney city centre and takes about 40mins to get there. It's not what I expected. Paradise is termed as an ideal or idyllic place or state. Well to me this was no paradise it looked like a British seaside resort but with sun. To be fair though I'm not a surfer so to me the place is not Ideal, however, I would spend time here if I was travelling in Aus for a longer period and at least I can say I have been plus I've bought my self some shorts which will go well on our next Hawaiian Night back home. Following the trip to the beach I head to the harbor ... read more

December 19th Sydney (Bondi) Woodford (beginning of Blue Mountains) Another lazy internet morning. Heading out to Blue Mountains any minute now, after a spot of second hand shopping in Sydney’s Newtown. This is the eclectic scene of the inner burbs. Trying reminders on my independence and loss of it. Sweet reminders on enjoying the journey rather than just focusing on the destination. Thank you W for your What a day my oh my. All I can say is make sure you read the parking signs very clearly. Short of it all for me was $175 ‘stopped in a clearway zone’+ $145 towing fee and I eventually located my car. The man at the RTA was actually very helpful. -o0o- “You can’ get lost if you’ve nowhere to be” Profundity of my year. What a beautiful ... read more

Having not managed to get onto an Oz Experience bus as planned Lauren and I decided to take a quick jaunt up to the Blue Mountains. After the minor set back of missing the train from Central station because we were waiting on the wrong platform! We arrived in Katoomba and made our way to Central Backpackers in the pretty old town of Katoomba. The hostel was listed as the newest and best! Although very well equipped and clean it was a shame not to be able to stay in one of the many old origional buildings in the town, but a bed is a bed at the end of the day. Set off for the Blue Mountains towards Echo point. I made lauren close her eyes when we got close so that when she opened ... read more

Mara and I went on a day trip up to the Blue Mountains. Our first stop was the Olympic stadium. I wasn't overly interested, it was just another building ... plus they wanted us to pay to get in and look around. I decided that one stadium pretty much looks like any other and did my own thing for a little while. Our next stop was at this little zoo. Most of the animals were able to wander around on their own. I have pics with me and the little Wallaby's and a Kawala and a few other animals. When I first say all the Wallaby's I looked at Mara and mentioned that I always though Kangaroo's were a lot bigger. She just laughed at me and told me that there are so many different kinds ... read more

17/11/05 - 19/11/05 Green express to CDG My alarm on the mobile phone starting beeping and buzzing at 5.30am, the phone was vibrating all over the table, it took a few moments for me to realise that this meant it was time to get up and get set to depart for the airport and my flight to London then Singapore. Jean and Beatrice drove me to the airport in the green bus. On the autoroute, we passed by the turnoffs to some outer Paris suburbs which had recently become infamous due to rioting and Molotov cocktail parties (this was as close as I got to any problems they had been encountering). Naturally, as I said “au revoir” I was filled with some mixed emotions, naturally I was excited to be going home and seeing Lorenza again ... read more

So, we're back from a wonderful trip to Queensland with just a few more days in Aussie before we head to Hong Kong. After Holden blew up in a heated argument with the shuttle driver from the airport, we found a new hostel near downtown - Wake Up Hostel. Pretty nice, but we had to room in a dorm with four other people. It wasn't that bad. One attraction we had yet to see was the Blue Mountains National Park, just two hours outside of Sydney by train. Nice day trip to a very pretty area. The pictures tell the story.......... read more

Hey Everyone! Well, if you haven't guessed already, we have made our way to Sydney, Australia. And believe it or not, we have landed ourselves in the middle of the strip clubs and hookers again! Not sure how it always works out that way, but it's nothing compared to the red light district in amsterdam, so that's a plus. It's actually sort of funny. We are staying in a place called King's Cross, a part of Sydney. This is basically the only place you'll find hookers and the most concentrated area of strip clubs in the city, but it is also the cheapest, so we opted to stay in this area. But it's really not bad and actually very safe and pretty funny. There are "ladies of the night" and morning and afternoon. There is really ... read more
