Quechee Gorge
Rock pools at the bottom of the gorge.
We got up early this morning and had breakfast in the hotel. Our first stop was Quechee Gorge about 7 miles down the road. Here they call it the "little grand canyon". It was a short walk down to the bottom of the gorge where you could swim in the rock pools. Then you walk about a mile up to the other end where a dam has been built- its also has a bridge over it half way up so you can get a great view. Its was pleasant Sunday morning walk in the sun. Our next stop was Simon Pearce [View Full Entry]

So I left off in Hannover and just getting to Phi Tau. I wound up playing beer pong at Tabord. But up at Dartmouth they use paddles to play pong and I have to say, it was a lot of fun. When I got up at 7 the next morning it was pouring outside. By the time I finished riding buses to EMS in the next town over, it was to late and to poor of weather to continue on. So I zeroed in Hannover and went back to Tabord for a lingerie party the second night! Unfortunately there were no [View Full Entry]

I was at Ashley's last night and she has a plate with little sayings on them I picked one and here is what it read.... "Be you...the world needs you" I don't know how it could have been any more perfect - it could have said a million different things...I'm a little nervous, excited, anxious and kind of freaking out about my packing....but seeing that last night calmed me a bit.... I know I'm meant for something grand in life - not in riches or fortune but doing something to help others but I just have to find what it is. [View Full Entry]

Hello all, I realize it's been quite a long time since my last update, however- many of you have been there for the big events anyway! Very quick rundown of events since my last update; I have completed all previously listed affiliations- and one unlisted (NYC, NH, and the last conveniently just down the road in Wilbraham) that in conjunction with the presentation and defense of my research I have officially graduated from Springfield College's Master of Physical Therapy program... Jeremy and I were married on June 7th 2008 (6/7/8)... we honeymooned in Grand Cayman... we visited his family i [View Full Entry]

Goin down the only road I've ever known.... Okay, well maybe its not the only road I've ever known but this travel fever is deep in my blood and in my veins and I'm not sure if or when it will ever leave (and to be honest I'm not sure I ever want it to!). I've been back for three months and damn, soo much has happened but then again so much hasn't. I've been applying for jobs in Africa ever since I got home and always had the same reply - "You need your master's"! Okay, great, its not that [View Full Entry]

So we are in Burlington now- arrived on monday night about 10 pm . The train took 10 hours from NY! We had a frustrating time trying to get our transport out of NY booked. We found that the train we wanted to catch to burlignton was full so we then tried to get a bus- which would have been more expnesive and have taken just as long. we spent about an hour goign from train to bus station and then back again! We had already booked a motel in Burlingotn thinking it would be easy to sort transport! Anyway our [View Full Entry]

About 5 more weeks to go. Found a tenant for the house and I have started cleaning out old clothes and slowly moving personal belongings to the basement where they will live for the next 9 months. Still trying to figure out round-the-world tickets, not as easy and not as inexpensive as we thought. Karen has requested a sabbatical from work, so keeping fingers crossed this will be approved. We just finished a weekend retreat at Kripalu Yoga Institute in the Berkshires finding balance and learning about each other and ourselves. Announced my leaving at work this week which was received [View Full Entry]

I arrived to stormy and humid Burlington Vermont yesterday at 11:30 Eastern time, 8:30 San Diego time. I had been in flight, or in terminal since 8pm the night before. It was a bit of a mess to get to me to the airport, I kept holding off on saying my good byes for days. It seemed like a good idea to just keep scheduling time to see friends, up until a half hour before I should be checking my bags at the airport. My fuel was on 'R' ( I drive an '85 Mercedes diesel station wagon, everything in German, [View Full Entry]
