Today I had to drive to the post office to post my post cards. My hotel charges $1.50 for a stamp that costs only 94c, what a rip off!!!! Portia and I later had a Subway for lunch and then visited an outlet shopping centre and bought some clothes from Gap. We went to CityWalk in the evening for a bit of nightlife. Didn’t do too much today. I went out for breakfast and had a look around the shops and wrote the rest of my postcards. I then waited for Portia to arrive, putting a load of washing on whilst waiting, very interesting eh! I was lucky that someone had left a whole box of washing powder in the laundry room, so I managed to save a bit of money. I managed to sort the hotel issue out today, finally. I went to Aquatica today, which is SeaWorld’s water park. The weather was great, 90° most of the day. The water slides were so much fun, one of them was almost a vertical drop head first, and I almost took off at one stage! One of the slides had a clear tube which went through a dolphin pool; it was amazing being so close to them. The wave pool was immense; I must have swallowed half of the water. Although today was another rest day, I had to get up early to call my travel rep, re the Miami hotel issue. I have checked out the alternative accommodation and it appears that they have actually down-graded me. I was booked in a 4 Star hotel with bed and breakfast, but the one they have put me into a 3 Star hotel with room only.....lucky that I have done my homework, eh? Today was so relaxing, my feet are still a little sore but I am relaxed, I even had a lay-in! I had breakfast today; I went to a place which does an ‘All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet’ for only $3.99, very nice and so much to choose from. I found out today that most of the shops take Travel Cheques as payment; at least I won’t have to go to the bank and be charged for exchange now. Went to SeaWorld today, it was excellent!!! I got drenched 4 times by a Killer Whale, I was soaked, it was so funny. I also fed fish to Dolphins and stroked them too, they feel like rubber. I am hoping to swim with Dolphins when I go to Miami. I am taking a day off tomorrow and just chill out. I don’t fancy going to any parks at the weekend, I am sure they will be busier. Today I went to Universal Islands Of Adventure and Universal Studio’s, it was great! I ran out of time in Universal Studio’s and have missed 2 small rides, so I might go back another day just to go on them. I had only planned to do one of the parks today, so I have saved some valuable time for another day and will be able to relax at some point. Well, I am finally here! :-) The flight took 10hrs, but was really comfortable; after all, I had 3 seats to myself to spread out, lovely! I was totally interrogated as I was going through customs; I suppose they don’t often have single people coming through with such mad holiday plans. He tried to catch me out with his questioning, but I managed to win him over. I have hired a Ford Focus, but it is a different shape to our Focus’, it is an automatic (that is all they do). Happy Easter everyone!! I hope it all went as well for you as it did for mum, dad and I. It literally went by in seconds. unfortunately I only had two weeks to play with for easter, so Mum and Dad arranged for a week i Mexico (Guadalajara and Mexico City) and a week back in childhood at Disney World in Florida.
