Well, I am finally here! :-) The flight took 10hrs, but was really comfortable; after all, I had 3 seats to myself to spread out, lovely! I was totally interrogated as I was going through customs; I suppose they don’t often have single people coming through with such mad holiday plans. He tried to catch me out with his questioning, but I managed to win him over. I have hired a Ford Focus, but it is a different shape to our Focus’, it is an automatic (that is all they do). Driving on the right-hand side of the road is easier [View Full Entry]

First night in Mexico!
First night in Mexico!
Straight off the plane and into the main square, mum and dad were champs.
Happy Easter everyone!! I hope it all went as well for you as it did for mum, dad and I. It literally went by in seconds. unfortunately I only had two weeks to play with for easter, so Mum and Dad arranged for a week i Mexico (Guadalajara and Mexico City) and a week back in childhood at Disney World in Florida. Mum and Dad arrived at about 8pm on Palm Sunday, surprising not as jetlagged as I thought they might be. They were on the go enough for us to have dinner with Katherine and her mother while they were [View Full Entry]

Day 12 This day was set aside mainly for Shopping. Before we went shopping, I went for a swim in the Holiday Home pool (which is located at the back of the house). Luckily, the pool heating was still working (we were supposed to pay extra for heating, but I guess they forgot to turn it off). Our Holiday home is located in one of those Estates where every house seems similar in design (not enough variety!). On the way [View Full Entry]

Day 11 This day was put aside for a day at Disney Epcot Theme Park. It was much closer to our Holiday Home, so we arrived just before 9 am. We had to pay for parking (which I believe is a bit unfair, since you are paying big money to enter the Park as well!). Once inside we headed (past a garden with Dwarfs) to the Land area of the park to organize our fast track entry for the Soarin' ride we would do later in the day. Each person is entitled to 1 fast track entry for the day, allowing [View Full Entry]

Day 9 This day was our trip to Universal Studios. We had to leave early as it was nearly an hour to drive to the Studios. There are actually 2 theme parks in the same area: Universal Studios & the Islands of Adventure-your ticket does cover both parks. We reached the Studios before 8 am, parked the car (you had to pay for parking as well!) & went inside the complex. Day 8 Our Flight arrived at Indianapolis before 3 am in the morning, our next flight to Orlando was not scheduled for departure until 8 am. It was a long time to wait, but you really couldn't sleep, so we just sat or wandered around the transit lounge. Later in the morning we ate some breakfast before boarding the flight. The magical Epcot Ball
The magical Epcot Ball
This golf ball really looked amazing at night
We did the usual morning breakfast thing by waking up in time, having our fatty breakfast and then catching the service to our rides! Today was going to be a fun day because I was heading to Epcot with my brother! Epcot has a wide variety of rides that look cool such as mission space, Test track which I had heard some great things about, spaceship Earth, gardens of the world, Seqway demo need I say more? I was particularly interested in Mission space and Test track as these are the types of action packed rides that I enjoy!! Once at [View Full Entry]

The second day of the Disney campaign started out with a typical morning breakfast consisting of a variety of Danish pastries and diluted fruit juices. I personally wasn't sure of how much longer I could take of the crap American diet! Although the breakfast was enjoyable for the first few days, after this point it became sickly! Today we were heading to a aquatica followed by Seaworld with my father in the afternoon. After a lazy morning we got to aquatica where unfortunately we didn't take any photos because of the water. To be honest once you've done one water park [View Full Entry]

Last summer I had an amazing time in America which proved to be an experience in Culture as well as a learning experience. Once in America I spent a few days in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and then joined my family in Florida. Florida was where the holiday got exciting because Hurricane Ike was approaching. Having torn up Cuba, there a few days of uncertainty where no one knew if Ike would head north to hit Florida or miss us completely. I was terrified because I was flying back a day before we would be know of Ike's path. Rather than missing my [View Full Entry]
