It looked ideal for us as it did not have too many long periods at sea, just has two thirty six hour periods of continual sailing time. The cruise takes in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Mexico, Belize ... read more

Well hello there all you lovely people finding time to read this, Back by popular demand I have decided to relaunch my little travel blog and introduce you to my 2nd contract working for Disney cruise line. This time though, on a different ship with a bit of a different intenary. As of the 29th of January, I have been working aboard the Disney Wonder, one of the older and smaller ships of the fleet. Although it somewhat lacks the extravagance of the Fantasy, it does have a more subtle character to offer of cruisers. Don't get me wrong, the magic of Disney is still very much around us, loud and proud as always, but just on a smaller scale! Today we have docked in Miami, the Wonders main port of call. Now this a is ... read more

We caught the hotel shuttle bus back the airport at 7.00 am this morning for our 10.30 am flight to Miami. We tried to check in at one of the American Airlines terminals, but as we have USA entry Visas, and not an ESTA travel authority, it would still not allow us. It is at this point, we normally try to purchase Group one boarding for a low fee. The person that checked us in advised that she could not sell us our requested Group one boarding, normally issued at the machine, but instead gave us free Group One boarding as a compromise. – Result. This is better than priority boarding. Note to self - Remember how to get this free next time too. It saves the stress of wondering if there will be any overhead ... read more

So, after a 6 month eventful ‘stopover’ in the UK we're off on our last big trip. During this time we came home earlier from India to surprise Louise on her Birthday (as a soon to be Mum), we went to the Edinburgh Festival for the first time with Sarah which was fab (and we must do it again but for a whole week next time), Louise & Ben had lovely little Olive, our first Granddaughter, and the new family moved into live with us for a few months at the end of Sept’13 before we left them to it in early Jan’14 after a quiet Christmas on our own – eating & drinking (too much of both) – amazing food and wines, mainly Spanish & French. This time we will be away for 10 months ... read more

To be honest I didn’t have that many adventures in Miami because I was busy in business. I knew the fun times would happen in Brazil. I spent 8 weeks in Miami in total, some of it living with a friend, some of it leaving in hostels on Miami Beach. I was helping my friend out with IT support and one of the advantages of going into his building was that they had a gym. I soon realized that not many people used the gym … you have to ask the receptionist for the key, go open the gym, come back and give the key back, then go back and shut the door. It was a small and amateurish gym, however it was better than nothing. After a few visits I was sure that nobody else ... read more

Hello everybody, First of all a "Happy New Year" to everybody. May all your goals and wishes become true in 2014, blessings to everyone. From Dusseldorf in Germany I flew American Airlines via Chicago to Miami, USA. I stayed three nights in Miami and then boarded a Carnival cruiseship through the Caribbean for 6 days. This whole visit was not originally planned at all. My friends from Bonaire asked me if I'd like to join and the deal was too good to refuse. Luckily enough I found a very cheap return flight from Europe so I decided to do it. We were supposed to be 6 persons in total but 2 of them didn't go anymore. It was my second time in Miami. It was mid-December and the weather was perfect: not too hot and not ... read more
