the last week, and a good dollop of snow too. Alex managed to get to work by leaving the car at the bottom of the drive, but mine was snowed in by the house, so I got out a new jigsaw, and turned up the fire! We really had a lot of snow - we couldn't even walk on the field for 4 days. And it was hard to clear from the roads as there was nowhere to put it. There are still huge mounds of icy snow in all the car parks and on the sides of the roads. These are mostly Alex's pictures.... read more

Spent a lovely sunny day on the banks of the Clun, planting trees to provide some more shade for those freshwater mussels. We did another stretch last year; its a beautiful place to spend a day outside, and a lovely drive to get there too.... read more

Alex chose a good week to sprain his ankle - the week of the panto! Still, he managed to limp onto the stage and gave a good account of himself as the ghost of Jacob Marley, in Llanfair's "wot the Dickens", based on Christmas Carol. And the ankle is improving daily,though a shoe will still not fit (Cinderella).... read more
