3 months to go With only three weeks until the wedding and three months until we get our first flight to Japan - we are really getting excited yet understandably a little nervous about everything we have to achieve before we go. The Flights are booked and paid for, most of the kit we need is sat upstairs in our cupboard, and Chrissie has started working out to take her hair and beauty salon around the world. However, although the trip is really exciting, at the moment it is massively overshadowed by an even more exciting event. THE WEDDING! See you at the wedding! ... read more

Well what a fair well night at Oceana. Starting off early at mine and heading for the Tun in Kingston for a few cheap drinks and then into Oceana from there. The night included the peeps of Nick, Christy, Frank, Kyle, Rach, Sophie Sykes, Angus, Amy, Cait, Wattage, Ginger toby and Stu. Did not really expect to spend over £120 on an evening with me going travelling for over 3 months, but thats life (Dads barclaycard will look after me and OJ i am sure lol). Returning home in the early hours of the morning just knowing that i will regret this in the moring (and my god i did). The penultimate night before we both went off arrived. Bags still only half packed and not certain where my passport was (slight problem when wanting to ... read more

This day started and ended with a bus. We headed out this morning on the 148 to Westminster and hopped off just in time to catch the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. Very impressive. One wonders what would happen if there were a real threat. It took over an hour to change the guards. I could have infiltrated their ranks, stolen a fuzzy hat and run away before they knew what hit them. The Royal band played Christmas carols while the men marched with their automatic weapons. Touching. The tradition is cool though. Something we don't see much of in the U.S. After that we hoofed it down the street until we turned a corner and Big Ben and Westminster Abbey appeared out of the haze. Wow, that was a spectacular moment. We had ... read more

The drunken escapades are almost over (1 more to go) so we're about to hit the road again this weekend, for Christmas in Prague, followed by 6 weeks of travelling....woohoo!!! The blogs may be slightly slower in appearing over the next few weeks, but trust me, they'll be worth the wait, or they'll atleast fill in a few minutes of your time anyway. So keep your eyes peeled to the screen (if you have nothing better to do) cos the sights should be amazing as we tour, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Malta, Spain, maybe Slovenia (not sure on that one, we have 3 unbooked days to roam around in europe somewhere, who knows where we'll end up) then onto China! And after checking the weather forecasts, we should be scorching during Europes hottest year for ... read more

He aqui el relato....

Well here we are, mid way through December! We cannot believe how quickly time has gone by. I (Rachel) am actually writing this entry as I have finished up at work - yay! Lets just say supply teaching in London has not been the most joyous experience of my life but that said, it has certainly toughened me up a bit, so all in all has been an experience that I have learnt lots from. Simon finishes work on Friday and has enjoyed his experience at the BBC. He has made some great contacts and friends for his return, and has also enjoyed working and seeing behind the scenes of what he says is one of the world's greatest broadcasters. He got to visit the set of Dr Who and Torchwood (new Dr Who spin off) ... read more

Hi Everyone, I'm so sorry I've been so slack and haven't up date this in how long? Since September the rumour goes. I hope it isn't that long, although I think it is. I hope that everyone is well and that you enjoy your Christmas and New Year. It will be the hardest this year not spending it with either Mum or Dad and their families on each side, and I hope the cold doesn't get to me too much. I must admit, it isn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be this time of year. The locals tell me that it is pretty mild for December so we're lucky. My plans to date are to stay in Plymouth for a while unless a job offer turns up that takes me there. The plan ... read more

I managed to turn off both of my alarms while still half asleep on Monday morning, so was forced to catch the late train to High Wycombe - a great start to the week. Emily left to go back to Australia on Tuesday, so had a chat with her before heading off to work. The temperature has severely dropped since last week - just as Grant said the London Lite newspaper predicted. Suz later told me that is was only 2 degrees this morning! Suz and Matt came over for dinner that evening, I showed them my new house and we discussed our possible holiday in January maybe to Blackpool or the Cotswolds. I found myself walking back to the train station via the mall in the vague hope of a temporary mild defrosting of my ... read more

and all through comfortable house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse! Well i certainly wasnt stirring, the job hunt was getting worse closer to christmas (despite some promising leads) and no money = no fun! As Facilities Manager of Comfortable House I have some significant responsibilities, and one that I was really getting into was regularly cooking decent meals again. The other was organising our christmas tree which you can see in all its glory, and putting together a rough schedule for xmas, but before then I went to: Claires birthday; Eargasm @ Fabric An awesome night at one of the 'Super Clubs' in London, it was a breaks/electro gig, and musically it was fantastic, some great beats to be heard and all very fresh. As far as a venue went it was ... read more
