Its been a looong time since I updated this. The short version. Half Machine was getting ready for Roskilde festival, I finished school (with an A on the last project no less) and went to Canada for thre weeks. Visited family and friends, went to Vegas with my mom, won at the PENNY slots, haha, and had a great time in both Canada and Vegas. Came back home to Denmark, spent a day with my then-very-new boyriend, and had a job interviw the next day, (didn't work out, but proves that I should not work for evil empires) next up, Roskilde festival, a week of crazy explosions, insane crowds, cold showers, and multiple escapes to the boat, which was a five star hotel after Roskile. I started my Europe trip by flying from Boston to London on Friday September 5th, so my trip started 5 days later than Kelly's. I flew all day and arrived in London at night which made jet lag much easier to handle. I met up with Kate Stangl and went to where she is staying for her semester abroad in South Kensington. The area is beautiful! There were 4 other Thayer Academy grads in London that weekend and it was nice to see familiar faces in a new country. Three friends from Vanderbilt are also living in London this semester for internships so I got to see London with them as well. Tonight concludes the third weekend I have been in Denmark. It has been a simultaneously difficult and exciting time, as I continue to adjust to the unfamiliar and discover how my interests and my program can resolve together towards my personal betterment this term. Last weekend was the first full weekend I was here, and it just so happened that my entire host family was going to be out of town. So, I spent the weekend trying to motivate myself to explore and become curious, but I ultimately resolved to stay at home, read, and collect my thoughts for the week to come. It was a long 48 hours. We are in Copenhagen now. Ethan and I walked to his ship and counted about 20 7-11s on the way. Otherwise a pretty typical European city I guess. The flavored soft ice cream here is great. Bicycle travel is very popular and there are lots of paths for them here even turning lanes. BTW click on the pictures and they should come up bigger ok even if they are black below.... read more

Hey Everyone! Well, i just got back from my intro camp in århus! It was so much fun! For the first time ever i traveled by train, and it took about 1 12 hours to get there. On the train i met up with tow Rotary echange students, one who is from Canada, and another from Brazil. We traveled together which was nice! It was exciting having people to talk to who is going throught the exact same thing! We finally arrived to the train station where we found about 5 more exchange students, all from the US Canada and Brazil.
