Today we went on our final planned trip; to Monet's Garden by Bike! We had time to have breakfast before heading off to the St Lazare train station to meet our guide. (we had to catch 2 metro's and still managed to get their half an hour before time. The metro is easy to use, you just follow the line numbers to where you want to go. We met Kit our guide and caught the train to Vernon. There were 24 people in our group. It took 45 mins to get to Vernon. When we arrived we went into the village and brought supplies for a picnic. We brought baguettes, pear cider, filled rolls, and some yummy pastries, then we got our bikes (each bike had a name, mine was "blue man group" and mums was ... read more

We were up and had breakfast by 9am this morning, the roads are all wet, looks like it has been raining last night. The homeless man is still on his doorstep. We set off on the metro to the Chatelet station and walked to the Sainte Chapelle where there are beautiful stained glass windows. We had to line up and go thru security before we went in and we had to be silent while inside. At the end there was a huge round stained glass window. The brochures told what each of the pictures meant, because it was actually a story. Next we walked to Notre Dame. We went inside the cathedral, there were more stained glass windows here and we had to be quiet again. Then we had to line up for the tower of ... read more

Today we did some sightseeing. We were a bit tired from the past couple of days so had a bit of a sleep in then enjoyed our Hotel breakfast, which We had left too early for previously. Then we set off to the Hard Rock Cafe to pick up our Paris Pass. It took quite a while, and there were lots of people and busy streets. Eventually we got our passes and caught the hop on hop off bus. We wanted to go to the Eiffel Tower and since it was already mid day we decided to do that first. When we got there and hopped off our bus we found out it was closed! So we took some photos and walked around a bit. Then we went on a river cruise up the Seine. It ... read more

We has another day at Disneyland today, it was fun like yesterday. We had to get up early again and get to the leaving point like yesterday. We set off in our bus and on arrival to Disneyland we hopped off and walked to the entrance gates to wait for the 9.30 opening. We were first in the line. When the gates opened we went and got a coffee like the day before and decided to line up for the Big Thunder Mountain ride which had the longest waiting time yesterday. We still had to wait about an hour but it was worth it. I wanted to go again but Mum said we had to go on something different. It was a roller coaster mine cart that went around and thru the mountain. We even went ... read more

We had an early start this morning getting ready to travel to France. The taxi picked us up and took us to the train station where we caught the Eurostar train to Paris. The train was quite full and the station was busy. We had nice seats. The Eurostar travels around 300km/hr and it travels 195 mtrs below sea level at it deepest point. It took about 3 hours to get to Paris and we had another taxi at the train station to take us to our Hotel. It is cold in France and there were some showers and wind! We arrived at the hotel and took a trip on the Metro (underground) to where we had to meet for our Illumination of Paris trip this evening. The station is quite close to the hotel. There ... read more

It was raining this morning when we got up. We were meeting Alice today and going to Stoke-on -Trent. We left the apartment at about 8 and caught the underground to the Euston Station to met Alice. The rain stopped but the temp has dropped and it is a lot cooler today. We successfully got to Euston and met up with Alice then started our train journey to Stoke-on-Trent and the Burleigh pottery factory. This is England's oldest working Victorian pottery factory. The factory was closed today, but the factory shop was open. The man told us about how they are fixing up the old factory and buildings and by next year will have factory tours and a cafe too. There were not many people here. Next we taxied to the Wedgwood shop and had a ... read more

Today we went shopping! First we caught the underground to Harrods. We only looked at the ground floor and we were in there for an hour. The food court was awesome, and there was a whole room of chocolates! .....i brought a chocolate mouse and chocolate lips. After that we caught another underground train to Hamelys toy store. We spent over an hour and a half here; it had 5 levels with different toys on each. There was a Lego Queen and Phone Box. There were heaps of staff displaying the different toys, so were really cool! The first photo is for Miss Cameron and Room 10, we found Basil's brother in the apartment hallway, Henry! We caught the underground to the London Eye. Wit didn't open until 10am so we arrived just after it opened. We missed the big line and had to wait about 15 minutes to get on. It was a cloudy but warm day. We hopped on and went up. You could see all over London. When we got off we went to the London Dungeon, which is just close to the Eye. I didn't really like it, it was scary. They told us the history of London, showing us the dungeons and how prisoners were tortured, about Guy Fawkes, and Jack the Ripper. Dad went on the end ride but I didn't want to so me and mum ... read more

Today we went to Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge. We went in a big bus with lots of other people. First we went to Windsor Castle. The Queen was there and Dad thought he saw her! There were heaps of people and we had to wait for nearly an hour to get into the castle, then we had to go around quickly so we made it back to our bus on time. We saw Queen Mary's Dolls House which is huge, it has running water in the taps and flushing toilets, it was a present to Queen Mary after world War One. We couldn't take pictures. Then we went to see the State Apartments which are amazing, they had heaps of paintings and old furniture. The carpet in the dining room needed 10 men to roll ... read more
