Today we went to Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge. We went in a big bus with lots of other people. First we went to Windsor Castle. The Queen was there and Dad thought he saw her! There were heaps of people and we had to wait for nearly an hour to get into the castle, then we had to go around quickly so we made it back to our bus on time. We saw Queen Mary's Dolls House which is huge, it has running water in the taps and flushing toilets, it was a present to Queen Mary after world War One. We couldn't take pictures. Then we went to see the State Apartments which are amazing, they had heaps of paintings and old furniture. The carpet in the dining room needed 10 men to roll it up! After that we went to Bath to see the old Roman Bath's. The mineral water that they pump out of the ground here is 42 degrees and it contains 43 minerals. The water in the actual baths was green and yuck but there is fountain that is clean. We had a coffee and potato and Mum found the Sally Lun Shop, before we had to get back to the bus. Then we went to Stonehenge, it was after 5pm when we got there, so the crowds had gone. I was feeling a bit sleepy and tired, the stones are pretty big, and nobody actually knows why it was made. The birds like resting on the top! After Stonehenge it took us another 2 hours to get back to London. Lucky for us the bus dropped us off very close to our apartment so we just walked back.

Hi
Hi and lovely to hear from you! Had been thinking about you over the last couple of days :-) has your mum moved yet? I couldn't remember when it was. How is the storm, I must have a look at the NZ news, you don't hear anything about NZ here. We are actually sweltering in our apartment here in London, does not have air con and is about 26 degree all night which isn't that pleasant especially after we were spoilt on the cruise. Anyway hope the storm has not done too much damage, pass my thoughts on to everyone. Take care. Melissa x
