What a busy day today, we got up after a hot night, we don't have air conditioning in our room, and since we arrived the temp has been in the mid 20's! We were able to walk to one of the starting points of the hop on hop off bus that we had tickets for so hopped on about 9.30 and set off.we went past the Natural History & Science Museums and Harrods, we just stayed on the bus until we got to Trafalgar Square where we changed busses and headed off to see Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Parliament Buildings, London Bridge and the Tower Bridge then we hopped off at the Tower of London and jumped on a short river cruise up the Thames. After that we got back on the bus and went to Hyde Park. I really liked to see the NZ Statue with the Maori carvings that is at Hyde Park Corner. Once we got off the bus we hired some bikes to ride around the park. It was fun, it was nice and sunny and we went right around the Park to Kensington Palace. When our time ran out on
the bikes we returned them and went to see Serpentine Lake. On our way we saw some cute little squirrels! People were feeding them nuts, they were really cute! We had a go on the pedal boats but mum said her legs were sore! Then we walked back thru the parks to our apartment, stopping to cool our feet off in the Princess of Whales Memorial Fountain. It was quite late by the time we got back so we got some dinner from the supermarket.
