Bangkok Here We Come

We were all excited as we set off at 11.45 this morning on our way to Malaga Maria Zambrano train station. We left the car at Red Car Parking and they gave us a lift to the station. It was so good to get on the cool, comfortable, air conditioned train to Madrid. We looked out over the golden, sun bleached, landscape and acres of olive groves as we sped by.

We took a taxi to Madrid airport. It was a three hour wait before our flight but it passed by quickly.
How ever, our 22.05 pm Emirates flight to Dubai seemed a very long flight indeed. We had intended to sleep but not a lot of sleeping was achieved - we were all pretty shattered when we got to Dubai. Then we had to get our connecting flight to Bangkok! Thank goodness we did get some sleep on that flight though not enough. Then there was the long wait at emigration. We were happy to see our man waiting for us with a taxi to take us to The Amara Hotel. We were fortunate to have our rooms upgraded and we dumped our bags in our rooms on the twenty fourth floor and then went up to the twenty fifth floor to the roof top bar where we had a drink next to the swimming pool and admired the twinkling lights of Bangkok
The journey had beenTHIRTY hours!
