After the peace and quiet again of Cherating, I wasn't really holding out for much fun at the perhentian islands, perhaps 4 nights then moving on to Thailand. As with everything when you travelling along, there's always a suprise around the corner!!
Got the ferry across to Kecil which is the smaller of the islands and met Kam and Laura, Kam is from Great Barr, went to the same college as me at the same time and I swear I've spoke to him before in the past!!! Laura lives in Leeds although she's a united season ticket holder in the stretford End upper, so I'm not gonna mess with her!! So we now have a crew, the food and bars on the island are quality and I've ended up staying 8 nights!! Its so chilled out in the day is untrue, the water is the cleanest I've ever seen. Been snorkelling and saw a giant turtle on the seabed, Dave hopefully has a picture of this as well as me jumping off a lighthouse, I was still drunk from the night before when I did that! That was a messy morning! I also lost part of my snorkel set at that
point, was chased by a herd of goats for my crisps and held a baby turtle.
A couple of days in Amy, a girl from the wirral arrived and I stayed with her in the chalet for a couple of days when Dave left. Its been great here, met loads of people and had a really great time here, culminating in the party at the Blue room on the final night, the bar we'd been going to before, the Palm cafe played exactly the same tunes every night, to the point where you could use the set list as a watch! "Here comes everday people by arrested development so it must be half one" The blue room was packed that night loads of people coming together, all having a party. Thats what its all about. I really didn't want to leave but I need to get into Thailand now, I'm gonna fly in as I'm still not sure about the south. Kam was there when the bombs went off in Hat Yai, so I'm a little worried about it although after being in Kashmir, this will be a walk in the park!!!

Toms been upsetting the Thai people
Alright bud, good to see your having a wicked time! I don't wanna put a dampner on anything but I just thought I'd let you know that Tom Biddle (Chong) was caught up in the bombings in Thailand. He's alright though, he got shrapnel through his shin and out of his calf and was in a private in hospital in Thailand. He flew back a couple of days ago in business class, payed for by the Thailand governent. Imagine that! Tom in business class pissing off everyone that had paid thousands of pound to be there!! He got back and had an operation at selly oak. He rang me last nite, he was at richards getting stoned. Anyway glad to see you're having a good time and i'll see you when you get back!
