Day 9
Yyyyaaayyyy..... An easy morning with no alam!..... And it's my birthday! We got up, got showered and all ready for a good breakfast. As we left the room, Muhto, and his son, was already waiting for us outside our door! We all went back into the room, as we needed to. catch up with Muhto. Hen Tom presented a lovely birthday cake that he had sourced through Muhto! It was such a nice surprise. I also brought one gift from home to open. Thank you Claire and Dimitri, I love it! I had a card from Tom, but not from home as we are travelling today, so I knew that I couldn't actually enjoy them here.
We all had cake before breakfast. What a great start to the day. Thank you so much Tom x
Yes, another good breakfast this morning, then an Internet session, as we have been without Wifi for a couple of days.
We caught up with everything then got a taxi to Chennai airport as we are flying to Goa today.
..... And the cake is coming with us!
Well, we finally set off, after an hour and twenty minutes later than expected. Then, ... A bit of a shock .... We had taken off and had been in the air for about 30 mins; it was a bit turbulent, then the message came over the speaker that we had a problem and had to return to Chennai ...... Wwwhhhaattt....we waited on the plane whilst hoards of men came over, looking and speculating. Then one passenger got off, he changed his mind about flying! After about half an hour, they removed both us, and our luggage. We sat on the bus, waiting, not really knowing what was going to happen for the next half an hour. An alternative plane turned up.... Phew, I was pleased about that. We boarded the new plane, and off we went again. About 35 minutes in, the stewardesses came round with sandwiches, Tom was so funny. He was really pleased to be fed, I thought he was going to burst... Lol. We were expecting a short flight, so didn't think food would be necessary, but due to the waiting we had become quite hungry! So a free sandwich and coke or was!
Arrived in Goa..... Lost my purse!
